A Unforgettable Trip: Chapter 13: Staying Alive

By the time you woke up you were in a hospital bed. The only thing you could hear was your heartbeat on the monitor next to you. You had a breathing mask on & other things were also attached to you. On your arms, legs, even your stomach where the baby was.
You looked around the room a little & then their he was. Adam was sitting right next to you.
You wanted to say his name but you didn't have to.
Because the moment he looked up from his phone you were awake & looking at him.

"Harmony, oh thank god your ok. I came into your room to see you passed out & your phone was on because apparently you were talking with your Mom I don't know but I called 9-1-1 & I followed you here with the paramedics who brought you in. Are you ok?" Adam asks.
He said way to much in one sentence too much for you to even hear everything that he said. The only thing you remembered him saying was 'are you ok?'

"I'm fine, Adam. I was on the phone with my Mom & she said that my Dad died. But she didn't say how. Or maybe she did I don't know but... It's terrible that I lost my only father Anthony." You say as you tear up.
"Harmony, your Mom told me what happened. Your father died because he got in a car wreck with another person. The other person was drunk & was sentenced to life in prison so that person is gone.
But Harmony I'm sorry about your Dad. I wish I could've done something to help. But... I wasn't their when it happened."
Adam says as he drys your tears away.

"Adam just because you think it's your fault. It's not. Adam your a good person." You say as Adam sighs & then the same doctor from last time comes in.

"Hi Harmony, Adam. You already know my name so I'm not gonna say my name but because you passed out you also caused your baby to pass out. But don't worry. Your baby is very safe & fine. We're monitoring you & the baby 247. Adam, may I speak with you outside for a moment."

Doctor Amber says as Adam nods & leaves the room.

"Adam, Harmony hasn't been keeping track of her pregnancy & I can tell by just looking at her stomach. Adam she has 2 months until her due date. Which means in 2 months she could give birth to this baby girl at any time whether it be here or at her house or your house. So I'm now relying on you to keep track if Harmony here, can't. Do you understand." Amber says. "I understand Doctor. Thank you." Adam says. "Your welcome now go on ahead & go back in the room."

Amber says as Adam nods, goes into the room, & sits back down next to you.

"Ok Harmony, everything is looking good I'm feeling nice today so in the afternoon I'm gonna have you leave because when someone passes out it's not really a big deal but in the afternoon I'll have a nurse come & get you & then you both can go back home. Ok? Well enjoy your time while you can here, but I'm gonna go check on someone else let me know if you need anything."

Doctor Amber says as you wave goodbye as she leaves your room & checks in on another patient.

After Amber leaves you turn your head to look at Adam.

"Adam, what was she talking to you about?" You ask. "Harmony, Doctor Amber said that your 2 months away from your due date for this baby & she said your not keeping track so because your not I'm taking over from now on." Adam says as you roll your eyes.
"Don't you roll your eyes at me. I'll take back that ring on your finger if you treat me like that again. Be nice." Adam says.
"Sorry." You say. "Don't be. It's fine. Look I understand it when pregnant people get mad they sometimes get others mad like me. But you're fine. Your just hurting because you lost your Dad & your gonna have a baby soon. I'll be right here Harmony. I'm not going anywhere."

Adam says as he kisses you on the lips.

"Adam, can you give me sometime alone. I need a moment of silence to myself."
You say as Adam nods & leaves the room for a couple of minutes.
"While Adam waits outside your door you think about you Dad. & then you felt the urge to call your Mom back. So you grab your phone & dial her number.

*Ring...Ring...*

"Hello, Harmony?" Your Mom says through the phone. "Hi Mom." You say. "Hi, I hear beeping in the background where are you are you ok?!" You Mom asks. "Mom I'm fine. I'm in the hospital because I passed out when you told me about Dad." You say. "Oh I'm sorry. Well I'm glad your ok. I wish you got to celebrate your birthday with your Dad this year." Your Mom says as you immediately remember your birthday. "Wait Mom when was my birthday!" You say loudly. "It was the day before your Dad died in that car accident." Your Mom says. "Oh no wonder Adam did so many nice things for me that day." You say. "What nice things did he do?" Your Mom asks. "Well he got me my own house in Brooklyn & got me my own car which is a Lamborghini." You say. "Damn! Wow. You should send me a picture of your car sometime. Wow. You have a lucky man Harmony." Your Mom says as you chuckle a little. "Yeah I do. Also he proposed to me the other night & I said yes." You say. "Oh good for you! Ok now, when is the wedding?" Your Mom asks. "We haven't figured it out yet.
Especially because right now I'm in the hospital. So theirs that." You say. "Ok. Well let me know. I'm gonna go now bye."
Your Mom says as you hang up & call Adam back into your room.

"Did you hear anything?" You ask. "No. Why?" Adam says. "Because I was on the phone with my Mom & usually when I'm on the phone with someone I'm always loud." You say. "Well i didn't hear anything so your good. What did you talk to her about?" Adam asks. "I'll tell you later after i get out of this place."
You say as Adam chuckles & smiles at you.

Once afternoon arrives the nurse comes & gets you & Adam & let's you both leave so you get in Adams Jeep & drive back over to your place in Brooklyn New York just so you could walk through your front door, go up the stairs, & immediately without question have sex with Adam again in your own bed.

This one was a little short but oh boy was it a fun one to write. Don't worry I'll still continue to work on this story because right now I am loving how I'm doing this story.
