A Unforgettable Trip: Chapter 15: Meet Baby Ashley

It was now late morning in the hospital & you wake up to see Adam sleeping in the chair while Ashley rests next to him in her small carrier.
Then you saw Adams eyes peek out & look at you with tired eyes.

"Hi Harmony... What are you doing up it's only 5:00 in the morning go back to sleep." Adam says. "I can't sleep. I can't stop thinking about baby Ashley or your own wife Joanne or you proposing to me." You say. "Well about baby Ashley first, why are you thinking about her so much? Do you want to hold her? Is that why your thinking about her?"

Adam asks as he stretches & yawns.

"I wanna hold her."
You say as Adam gets up & walks over to baby Ashley who was asleep but then woke up the minute Adam picked her up & set her in your arms.
"She's a beautiful." Adam says as you smile. Then you hear your phone ring. It was your Mom.
Once Adam heard that it was your phone ringing he got up, got the phone, & gave it to you.

"Mom?" You say confused through the phone even though you knew it was mom calling your not always certain that it is actually her calling.
"Hi Harmony so I thought I might check in. Have you had the baby yet? If so what did you name her?" Emma asks. Shit that's right your mom never heard about the baby or her name she only ever heard about Adam getting you a car, house, & him proposing to you.
"I did have the baby Mom it's a girl of course & me & Adam named her Ashley." You say. "Awesome that's a great name! I wish your father could hear about this. I still miss him." Emma says. "I miss him too Mom." You say. "So are you home or are you still at the hospital?" Emma asks. "I'm still at the hospital. & they said I would be until they know I'm fully healthy along with the baby but I'm glad to hear your voice Mom. Have you been doing anything exciting at home?"
You ask as you hear your Mom sigh in the background of your phone.
"With your father gone I haven't been really doing much but sleeping & going on a bike ride." Emma says. "Well at least your still getting your exercise while you ride." You say. "Yeah. Well I'm gonna let you go try to enjoy yourself while you can at the hospital with Ashley. Love you." Emma says. "Love you too bye Mom."

You say as you hang up & hand your phone back to Adam so he can put it back on the table next to you.

"Ok so are you fine. Are you not worried about Ashley anymore?"
Adam asks as he sits back down on the couch next to you.
"I'm not worried about her anymore thanks for asking but I'm still worried about Joanne. Shouldn't she be on her way back already I mean it's already been like, I don't know like 10 months why don't you call her?" You say. "Do you want me to call her to check in on her?" Adam asks. "Yes call her. & put her on speaker again."

You say as Adam grabs his phone out of his pocket & calls Joanne's number.

*Ring...Ring...*

"Hi Adam. Why you calling?" Joanne asks. "I was calling to check in on you, when do you think you'll come back home?" Adam asks. "Oh your worried now about me, aww. Well my boss is giving me a break from working for a while but thing is I'm still gonna be in California for about another month due to the wildfires but if you can get through one more month with me gone then you know I'll be home before you know it. I'm glad you called me." Joanne says. "I'm glad I called you. Well I'm gonna go see you a month Joanne." Adam says. "See you in a month Adam. Love you."

Joanne says as Adam hangs up not even saying 'I love you too' back to Joanne.

"One month huh? I don't think I can leave you after a month I need more time with you." You say. "& I need more time with you as well but if Joanne is saying she comes back in one month then she comes back in one month. Your gonna have to leave when she comes back." Adam says. "Fine but can we at least do as much as we possibly can in one month before she gets back?" You ask. "Of course, what do you wanna do in a month? We can get married?" Adam asks. "Adam you don't understand, Joanne would kill you if she finds you wearing 2 rings on your finger." You say. "Then when she's with me I'll only have one on. Come on Harmony. Just marry me & get it over with." Adam says. "Ok I will but what about Ashley. She's a newborn." You say. "I have an idea for her. Don't worry I have a thing all planned out for Ashley for the wedding. & your gonna love it."

Adam says as you smile & look down at Ashley who was looking right up at you with her gorgeous light blue eyes.
Then after a while of sitting in silence you both hear the door open to your room.
It suprisely was your friend Emily who lived in San Fransisco with you.
"Emily!"
You say as you sit up trying to quiet so Ashley doesn't cry.
"Hi Harmony, Adam. My parents heard about you & Adam so they decided to get me on a plane & send me over to you two. Who's this little girl?" Emily asks. "This is Ashley. I just had her yesterday." You say. "Was it painful?" Emily asks. "Ugh yeah it was. But she's out now. I'm so happy to see you here. So how long are you staying here in New York & are your parents with you?" You ask. "My parents are not with me no, but they gave me enough money to pay for stuff or get stuff if I need to also I'll be staying here for about a week." Emily says. "Awesome well this is Adam. He's my boyfriend which you already know that but him & me are probably gonna get married this week so I would love it if you joined us at the wedding."
You say as Adam stands up & shakes Emily's hand.
"Nice to meet you in person Emily." Adam says as he goes back to sit down after releasing his hand from Emily's.

Emily was in shock at how tall he was but you could tell Emily knew what to except from him.
"I would love to attend your guy's wedding I've never been to a wedding so this will be fun."
Emily says as you smile & look at her.
"So did they tell you how long your gonna be in the hospital?" Emily asks. "Not yet but I'm sure they will soon. The nurses are giving me a break today because I'm still in pain after having Ashley. So they don't really wanna bother me." You say. "Well that's good. Well, do you care if I sit down?" Emily asks. "No I don't care, feel free to sit next to Adam if he's comfortable with you sitting next to him which I'm sure he's fine if you do."
You say as Emily does exactly that & sits down right next to Adam staring at him.
"Ok, Emily can you stop. Everytime I look over my shoulder I see you staring at me. So if your gonna sit next to me don't be creepy & stare at me forever."

Adam says as you chuckle.
"I already have a wife & soon I will have a second one. I don't need anymore than two." Adam says. "Ok sorry your just a really nice person to look at. But wait you said you already have a wife? Who is your wife?" Emily asks.
"Adam if you don't feel comfortable with telling her that's fine. You don't need to tell her." You say. "& I won't. Emily I'm sorry but I don't enjoy to share that with new people that I meet.

Adam says as Emily nods & grabs her phone out of her pocket & begins texting her Mom telling her about what's going on.

Once night comes around you wake up in the middle of the night to see Adam completely passed out on the couch, Emily awake & watching a movie on the tv in the room & Ashley who was fast asleep in her little area.
You wanted to get up & hold Ashley but you were to weak. Then Emily turns around looking away from the tv to see you.
"Hi, what are doing?" Emily asks quietly whispering. "Nothing. What are you doing?" You ask. "Watching a movie you can watch if you like."
Emily says as you turn your head to look at the tv to see she was watching Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith.

"You could've told me you like Star Wars you know. What's your favorite trilogy? & then what's your favorite movie overall?"
You ask as Emily pauses the tv & comes to sit down by you.
"My Favorite trilogy is the sequel trilogy because this dude here *points to Adam asleep on the couch* & then my favorite overall movie is Revenge Of The Sith."
Emily says as you smile at her.

"So, you should probably get some rest. I'll see you the morning." Emily says as you yawn & lay your head back on your pillow, eyes still open, watching Revenge Of The Sith with your friend Emily.
