It was 8:00AM in the morning & you wake up to hear your mother, Emma making coffee.
"Mom! Really at this time in the morning?!" You say. "Hey Mom needs her coffee. Your father is downstairs getting breakfast." Emma says as you rub your eyes. "So what are we doing today?" You ask. "Well your father & I do want to go & visit the 9/11 memorial if that's ok with you." Emma says. "It's ok with me. That's a good idea." You say. "Well go on ahead & get dressed sweetheart, we'll probably leave around 11:00AM depending on how long it takes for me & your father to get ready." Emma says as you climb out of bed, open your suitcase, grab your clothes, & head to the bathroom.
When you come out of the bathroom wearing light blue jeans & a mentally dating Adam Driver shirt your mother looks at you in a weird way. "Mom, you have that look... What's wrong." You ask. "Honey... You can't wear that shirt. Especially if your going to a famous memorial spot with me & your father. Go change your shirt. The jeans work just not the shirt. Wear something nice." Emma says as you roll your eyes & walk back into the bathroom.
In the bathroom you remove your shirt & you look at yourself in the mirror & take a deep breath. Once you do you grab a towel & throw it around your waist & walk out of the bathroom remembering you forget to get a new shirt out of your suitcase. As you pass by your Mom you see her roll her eyes but she doesn't say anything she just watches you walk around the room. When you get your shirt & slip it on you take another deep breath & walk out of the bathroom door to see your Mom.
"Mom. Is this better?" You ask as Emma looks at your shirt that says I Love New York. "That's perfect honey! It looks good on you." Emma says as you smile. "Can I wear my flannel?" You ask as you see Emma nod her head. Once she does you go over to your suitcase & slip on the flannel just like how Flip Zimmerman did it. "Good. I like it." Emma says as you hear Anthony walk through the door & shut it. "Woah... That really suits you well." Anthony says. "Thanks Dad. So, how was your breakfast?" You ask. "Good the panacakes were delicious, you should try them sometime." Anthony says. "Yeah I'm sure I will sometime indeed." You say. "So your obviously ready to go, Emma? What do you need to do before we leave." Anthony asks. "Well I need to take a shower & do my makeup. What about you Anthony?" Emma asks. "Well I just need to get in a shower." Anthony says as you chuckle. "What are you laughing at?" Anthony asks. "Nothing just what you said sounded funny to me." You say as Anthony nods. "Ok well I'll go get showered real quick & Emma you can start finding something nice to wear because I know you & know how much you go all out." Anthony says. "Yeah, yeah, sure. Go get cleaned babe." Emma says as she goes over to her suitcase & starts shuffling through clothes. While she does that you just sit back & relax & watch Logan Lucky. One of your favorite movies of all time starring your favorite actor, Adam Driver.
Once your parents are done getting cleaned & all that fun stuff you get in the car with your parents & drive to the memorial.
When you get their you take a deep breath & walk towards where one of the towers use to stand high above the city. "What happened to all these people that worked in the towers & the people who were on the plane. Look... They didn't deserve this in their life these towers were never meant to fall apart or be destroyed. It's just heartbreaking." You say as you shed a tear. "Honey, it's alright this wasn't your fault & you know it isn't because you were never around when it happened." Emma says as you go to her & hug her. "Look honey... just be glad your safe." Emma says as Anthony just walks around looking at all the names of the poor innocent people that were killed.
After a couple hours pass you say it's time to go & so you & your parents drive you around the town & stop at a nearby Wendy's.
When you finish their you get back in the car with your parents telling them you want to go & visit Brooklyn & the park their. And of course they said yes. They always wanted you to have the best time & the best life.
On your way their you sit in the car & pull out another piece of paper continuing your short story Diary.
"Dear Dairy... Right now I am in a rented Jeep Wrangler that my parents rented for my trip. So far New York has been great. I have noticed though there's way more people here than in my home town. And I expected that. New York is a big city filled with lots of people & sometimes Actors. But we just finished up having Wendy's & visiting the 9/11 memorial. Which by the way I did get a bit emotional but now we are on our way to Brooklyn because I wanna check the place out & see as much as I can while I'm here on vacation for a week. A week! So whenever I get home it'll be the week of my 23rd birthday. Yay... But the thing is everything that I have seen here in New York is beautiful & amazing & honestly I don't wanna leave. I'm sure if you guys are reading this & visit New York you would feel the same. If your that person that actually likes the whole area of New York."
Once you finish writing you put the paper away in your bag & sit back, relax, & look up at the pretty blue sky above New York.
