Diary Entry #30
I felt my world explode into pain, confusion, and hurt. My eyes grew spotty with shock and I couldn't move.
"Danny?" I asked quietly, knowing that all his feelings were being projected into me. He was so hurt, so confused, I couldn't help but think that this was a bad time to tell him. "Danny?"
He looked at me and I felt my heart drop. His eyes were so sad and so lost that I just wanted to comfort him.
"Tia? How could you not tell me?" He whispered and I felt tears burst from my eyes.
"I didn't figure it out until I died. Then I had time to understand and investigate. I'm sorry Danny, maybe I shouldn't have-"
"No, I had a right to know. I just don't understand why my-our-mom never told me," Danny said, troubled. I looked over at Luke and he just looked sad. He had knew ever since he had raised me that I had figured it out.
"How long did you know?" I asked Luke. He just shook his head, ashamed, and started to speak.
"Our mom, on her deathbed, told me that I had a brother. She said I was never alone and that he would always be watching over me. Then she died before she could tell me,"
"How did you know it was me?"questioned Danny.
"I didn't know until you ran into the inn after Tia. That's when I felt an electric shock hit me and I realized that you were my brother," Luke replied. I felt so confused but lighter, like a huge weight had been taken off my shoulders. I shuddered to think that this was how Danny was feeling but I couldn't take it back now.
"So why didn't you tell me?" Danny said accusingly.
"I didn't think you knew or wanted to know. But that afternoon when we were swimming I was going to tell you but then Tia..."
He trialed off and I felt sadness weight on my shoulders. This was my feeling now to think that I had died and been resurrected. I hated to think that I was alive again; it felt wrong and unnatural, but there was nothing I could do about it now.
While I was thinking Danny got up. He started to walk towards the castle and I struggled to follow him. I was a little woozy on my feet but I got used to it as I tried to catch up.
"Danny wait!" I cried as he was about a good twenty feet ahead of me. I knew that if there was any chance of talking to him before he went into battle, it was now.
"Danny-oof!" I started to call but I wasn't paying attention to where I was going and tripped on a rock. I saw myself going head-first into the ground when all the sudden I was caught in warm arms.
Danny.
"Thanks," I said breathlessly. He still stared at me, not saying a word, and I knew that this was my turn.
"Danny, I know what you are feeling. It's okay, you can talk-"
"You don't understand!" Danny cut in angrily. "Nobody does!"
I stared at him madly, trying to keep myself in check so I wouldn't deck him.
"Excuse me? If I recall, you're the one that told me I had a brother I never knew about! I, of all people, would understand what you are going though the most. And, if you forgotten, we also have the Bond so I do know what you are feeling. So if you are just going to angrily stare at me without talking, I'm out of here," I said and spun around. A second later I felt a warm hand grab my arm and spin me around.
"I'm sorry Tia. I forgot about that. It's just that, I'm a bit in shock right now that all these years I had a brother and I didn't even know. I just can't believe it." Danny murmured with huge eyes and I felt a wave of sympathy overwhelm me.
