DIARY ENTRY #10

My eyes felt heavy and tired as they swirled around in the darkness that had engulfed me. I knew that when I opened my eyes everything would become clear again. It just had to.

I opened them and gasped at what I saw. I lay in a white bed surrounded by glass walls. Outside of the glass walls were three guards and a hallway.

I gingerly moved aside the clothe that covered me and started to get up. I realized I was still wearing clothes, but that didn't stop the wave of panic that was overflowing.

I couldn't remember anything. I couldn't remember how I got here, or where here was. The only thing I knew was that my name was Tia.

I slowly crept to the door and was surprised to find it unlocked. I opened it up and slipped out, aware that the guards couldn't see me. As soon as I was sure the coast was clear, I bolted down the other side of the hallway.

I rounded the corner and wasn't surprised to see it was another long hallway. I continued running, worried about running into someone. I couldn't be caught; I knew what happened to people who were kidnapped. Well, at least I knew that much.

Suddenly a yell split through the calm air. I flinched but continued running, dodging opening doors and making sure I wouldn't trip.

I was just about to enter another corridor when I realized I was boxed in from both ends of the hallway. I looked around nervously and bolted towards an open door. I slammed it shut behind me and sank to the floor; tears streaming down my face.

"Please Doll, don't cry," A voice called out. I looked up and saw the hunkiest guy I have ever seen before staring at me with sympathy.

"Sam!" I cried as I flung myself in his arms. I curled into his warm body, just happy to finally remember something. "Oh Sam, I was so scared. I can't remember anything! What happened?"

"Oh Tia, please don't worry. A bad man tried to kidnap you so I brought you back home! I couldn't let them take you three days before your wedding!" He cried, holding me tighter as if to protect me from the fear that was.

"Wait... My wedding?" I asked in disbelief as I squirmed away from him. I remembered I really liked him, but I don't remember him asking me to marry him.

"Yes the wedding Doll. Don't you remember?" As if to jolt my memory, he motioned towards my hand. I looked towards my finger and gasped. On it was the biggest diamond I had ever seen. Now that I knew it was there, I realized it was pretty heavy too!

"Oh Sam!" I cried again, this time with joy, as I sank back into his arms. I felt his muscles ripple with happiness and I leaned away so I could look in his eyes.

"Thank you," I whispered. He smiled back and we both leaned in so our lips could touch once more.

The past few days were so busy with preparations for the wedding I was surprised I didn't collapse. For a wedding that was arranged before I was kidnapped, I was surprised at how little was done. I tried to mention this to Sam and I thought I saw some fear in his eyes; but he just kissed me and told me not to worry. I happily agreed; surprised his kisses had those affects on me. But they did and I didn't regret it.

"You look so beautiful," One of my bridesmaids said as she brushed my hair. I smiled and thanked her but I couldn't help feeling like something was missing. My friends. I didn't know any of these people, no matter how many times Sam insisted that I did.
