Chapter Five:
"Haunted by the ghost of you."
Atlas had been right. The second she stepped foot into the classroom she had gotten stares from almost everyone. Including the greasy haired man standing at the front of the classroom his eyes narrowed at the girl standing beside McGonagall.
"Do forgive Miss Lennon, Severus. She was with me and we had lost track of time." McGonagall lies, potentially saving Atlas from detention.
Professor Snape looks at both of them like he had something to say instead he pushed that back and nodded at the two.
"That's fine Professor. Miss Lennon there's a seat next to Malfoy." He drawled out and Atlas had sped to the seat not wanting to annoy the teacher any longer.
Professor McGonagall had left shortly after but not before sending a kind smile to Atlas. Atlas had noticed Draco shifting next to her but refused to turn to the rude boy and chose to ignore him instead. She had then noticed Lorenzo and Theo sitting near the front of the class staring back at her. The two winked simultaneously before turning around.
Snape walked to the front of the class and made direct eye contact with Atlas Lennon.
"Since you were the last one in the classroom Miss Lennon, would you care to inform us about the ingredients that go into a sleeping draught and at what quantity?" he asked her on the spot.
Atlas had been taught this back at Ilvermorny and had quickly told him the answer.
"4 sprigs of lavender, 6 measures of standard ingredient, 2 blobs of flobberworm mucus and 4 valerian sprigs." She said getting two thumbs up from the goofy boys at the front of the classroom.
Snape realises and slams a book down at their desks.
"Mr Nott, Mr Sinclair would either of you care to tell me how to brew the potion."
They both looked at each other expectantly. And started stuttering before they both shook their head no.
"Then pay attention." Snape muttered sharply, sending a death glare to the two.
"Can anyone else tell me how to brew the potion?" Snape asked the class and two hands shot up.
One girl with bushy light brown hair had raised her hand waving it around for Snape to see and choose her. The other was a girl who had long black hair that went all the way down to where the chair was. She was wearing Ravenclaw robes and the former was wearing Gryffindor.
"Miss Valentina."
The girl goes on to explain how to brew the potion and the Gryffindor girl looks slightly disappointed that she wasn't chosen.
"Now, the instructions are written on the board. I want you and your partner to brew it. The ingredients will be at the back and you know where the cauldrons are."
As soon as Snape had finished his sentence one person from every pair had gone up slowly to get what they had needed. Atlas had turned to the boy next to her to find him already staring.
"I'll get the ingredients I guess." She mutters standing up. Malfoy hadn't bothered to say anything and had watched her walk to the back of the classroom.
Atlas had picked up everything that she needed beside the cauldrons and had turned around to walk back to her seat. Instead she accidentally walked into the person in front of her.
"I'm so sorry!" She exclaimed.
The boy had short black hair, piercing blue eyes and a scar that resembled a lightning bolt on his forehead. She had immediately known him as Harry Potter. He was a legend back in Ilvermorny for defeating He who shall not be named.
