Chapter Sixteen:

"Life will never be the same."

A couple days had passed since Atlas had gotten the seeker position on the Hufflepuff team. She had been working through all of her assignments and some days it would be hard for her to leave the library due to the amount of work she had to finish. Transfiguration was still her hardest subject even with Hermione tutoring her in it. Atlas' stress levels had never been so high.

She was currently sitting in potions bored out of her mind. They weren't doing a practical today instead they were working out of a textbook. Atlas was nibbling on the end of one of her sugar quills distracted. Draco was scribbling away as he actually understood the work. It wasn't as if Atlas didn't understand it, she was just too lazy and tired to follow through.

The door of the potions classroom had opened and Professor McGonagall walked in. She walked up to Snape's desk and they had a whispered conversation. Snape's eyes widened and Atlas was curious about what had happened. She watched the interaction between the two teachers interested in it more than her work. She nudges Draco.

"What do you think they're talking about." She asks with a sugar quill in her mouth.

"I don't know and I clearly don't care." He huffs, annoyed that she's distracting him.

She brushes off his tone paying closer attention to the teachers. They both look up scanning the classroom and their eyes narrow on Theo.

"Mr Nott, you have been excused from class. If you would like to head to Headmaster Dumbledore's office with Professor McGonagall, please." Snape drawled out.

Theo looks around confused, unsure of what he's done. Atlas tries to rack up a list of reasons on why he would need to see the headmaster but her list comes up short. He hasn't done anything wrong except skip school one time but if he was getting in trouble for that, so would the rest of them. Theo leaves the class following McGonagall and Atlas notes that she should find him afterwards.

The day had gone slow as usual and Atlas was glad that she finally got to rest after the long week she had. She remembers the situation with Theo and heads down to the Slytherin dorms. She mutters the password before heading to where his room is. She knocks at the door and waits patiently for it to open. Lorenzo opens the door and welcomes her in. she spots Eli surrounded by parchment sitting on his bed but still no Theo.

"Where's Theo?" She asks, sitting down on his bed.

"No idea. He didn't come back after McGonagall took him out." Lorenzo says.

"That's confusing. Where would he be?" She asks, stealing one of Eli's pepper imps.

"I've looked all over the castle for him. He's nowhere to be found. I can only assume that he's been sent home."

"He didn't do anything stupid to get suspended right?" She asks for confirmation.

"Not that I know of." He replies.

"Weird. Well I'm going to go find McGonagall. See you later boys."

They say goodbye to the brown haired girl as she goes on a mission to find out what happened to Theo. They had been good friends and she wanted to make sure she's okay. She stopped by the Hufflepuff dorms and she put on an extra jumper since the robe wasn't keeping her warm enough. She left on her quest to find the teacher but her luck came up short.

She had walked all over the castle but it had been like she disappeared. She wasn't in her classroom or her office. Atlas had checked her classroom and even the Gryffindor common rooms. She had walked through the quidditch pitches but she couldn't find the teacher anywhere. It made her question if she was in her cat form.
