Chapter One:
"A lifetime of love."
Atlas stared at the empty closet in front of her, her clothes now packed away into her suitcase. Boxes were scattered around her filled with her belongings and the feeling of unfamiliarity settled around her. It was an eerie silence with the only sound being the breeze from the open window. However, to the young girl it was somewhat calming. As if the world had slowed down to be more suited to her life. As if the planet spun to her accord.
Moments like this never lasted as much as she had hoped it did. Inevitably they always came to an end. The loud voices of her family members broke her out of her trance. She closed the doors to her closet and started moving the boxes to be placed neatly by her door. Atlas swept her eyes over her childhood room one last time. Some could argue it was for her to make sure that she wasn't leaving anything important behind. Subconsciously she knew it was an effort to remember the small details before she left once again.
After completing the one last look at her room she made her way into the bathroom. Even though it was rather small Atlas was grateful to have some of her own space. She grew up with five older brothers and it was nice for her to have something she didn't have to share. Although, It was a frequent occasion of one of them running into begging to use it when the others were full from time to time. It put a small smile on her face remembering the memories that she longed to relive. Despite the fact that they fought like cats and dogs, she loved them all and couldn't imagine life without them.
Looking around her eyes stayed fixated at her own reflection. The young girl had inherited her mother's beauty. Her curly brown hair flowing past her shoulders resting slightly above her the middle of her back. Her skin was a golden tan colour, an indication of her Mexican roots. Her eyes were the most captivating part of her beauty. Everyone knew that. They were different colours. One eye was half blue resembling the ocean and the other half a deep brown colour. The other eye is a bright green almost grey colour. This was a result of her heterochromia. It didn't affect her sight whatsoever. It did get some stares most of the time though.
Atlas was short. It was a running joke in her family that her twin brother had taken some of her height while they were in the womb. That happened to be partly true. While Apollo was born a healthy child weighing the average six pounds, Atlas was born smaller weighing a small three pounds and nine ounces. And unlike her brother's natural birth, she was the only child in her family that required a C-section. Her brothers liked to tease her over the fact, telling her she was problematic from birth. She didn't take this to heart; it was rather funny for her.
The Lennon family contained six children. Atlas had five brothers, four older and a twin. The eldest being Ace. He was a healer. He was twenty-five years old making the gap between him and his youngest siblings at nine years. He looked like every other Lennon with his shaggy brown hair, chiselled cheekbones and tan skin. He stood the tallest from the rest of his brothers at 6'4. His most notable feature just like his only sister was his striking blue eyes. The only other Lennon to have blue eyes instead of the typical rich and deep brown. He also happened to be the smartest one of the bunch and the calmest. He didn't have the same energetic aura like the rest of his siblings, instead a natural calming persona like his mother. He was also very caring, which led him to a career of helping others.
The second oldest Lennon was Adonis who also happened to be Atlas' favourite brother aside from Apollo. However, she would never admit this out loud. Although all the brothers looked similar in some sense, they're personalities were something you could differentiate them from miles away. Unlike the eldest Adonis was loud. He was a presence you couldn't ignore. He contrasted Ace's calm and smart nature with his sporty and loud one which rubbed off on his younger siblings. He was three years younger than Ace but he almost matched his height standing at 6'3. He had become a professional quidditch player which inspired his younger siblings.
