Layla's P.O.V.:
I was pacing back and forth in front of Ash's hospital room worried out of my head.
As soon as I got her in the hospital, they took her from me and into an emergency room. They have been in there for about thirty minutes, and still no update on her condition and I was getting restless, I needed to know if she was okay.
But maybe I was exaggerating a bit, maybe it takes time for them to examine her. Yeah, that's it. Or maybe her condition is really bad that they can't even tell me. No, I shouldn't be thinking like that, I need to be positive. As hard as that could be.
As i was having a mental breakdown, one of the doctors came out and walked up to me.
"Are you related to miss Taylor?"
"Um, no. But I'm her girlfriend. Is she okay?"
"She will be fine. Thankfully you brought her here on time. If you had waited any longer, she would have been in more danger."
"Why? What's wrong with her?"
"She seems to have caught some type of virus that is similar to a cold, but it seems like it effected her way more than it should have because it looks like it has been in her system for a while now and she ignored it. It caused a high fever which caused her to loose consciousness and until now the fever has not come down yet. And because her head has taken more damage by her wound, she has a minor concussion."
As he was talking, my worry grew even bigger. This is kind of my fault. I had noticed she wasn't feeling well the second I saw her, yet I hadn't said anything, I let her take me on this date. I'm so stupid. The doctor's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Are her parents here? I would like to talk to them, they need to sign some papers."
Her parents. I totally forgot about them in the heat of the moment. I forgot to call them, and tell them what happened to Ash.
"I'll call them right now." He nodded and went back in the room and left me alone to call them.
It rang a bit before her mother picked up. I explained the situation to them as well as I possibly could, and told them to come to the hospital immediately. I know it was kind of rude, but it's their daughter we're talking about.
She said they were on their way, and hung up.
I could hear the worry in her voice. I hope they get here soon.
After about ten minutes, I saw her parents heading towards me in a hurry.
As soon as they reached me, her mom wrapped her arms around me in a well needed hug.
"Is she okay?" Her dad asked, obviously very worried.
"I'll let the doctor tell you, because I'm not sure."
As soon as I finished talking, the doctor came from Ash's room.
"You are miss Taylor's parents I presume."
They both nodded urging him to tell them what's wrong with their daughter.
He started explaining to them everything he told me in more details.
"Now it's up to her to wake up. We can't do anything but keep giving her the medicine until her fever decreases, it should take about a week, if not less." He added.
"Can we see her?" Her mom asked after nodding to what he said.
"Sure, go ahead. But not at the same time. Only two people at a time can be in there."
