Chapter 19: Back Home

Ashley's (twin) P.O.V.:

(Before Layla got back)

That's my home.

I couldn't believe my eyes.

I ran as quick as I could towards the small cabin, and instead of listening to my thoughts of breaking the door open, I decided to be resonable and knock first.

Kayden told me he'll be waiting outside until I'm ready to introduce him.

I heard some noises from the inside and i immediately knew it was Cassie telling Ricky to prepare for bed.

Then the door slowly opened to reveal the beauty that i consider my older sister.

She hasn't changed at all, and neither did i as i guessed by the look of complete chock on her face.

"A-"

I cut her off by hugging her tightly. She didn't return it at first but when the realization set in she hugged back and i felt her tears going down my sholder and I'm sure they matched mine.

"Cass, What's happening?" I heard the voice of Mike from the sleeping area.

Cassie was still speachless so i decided to talk.

"Hey little bro. How have you been?"

I heard a gasp and then shuffeling, then all i felt was a huge mass on top of me and i immediately fell on the ground. I noticed that Cassie ran out of the way in time. Lucky.

Mike was crying too and even though i could bearly breath, I hugged him tightly.

"How?" Was all that he could mutter out through his tears.

"If you get off me, i would tell you." He then realised our position, got off and helped me up after he apologised.

I heard little feet running towards us and i immediately knew who it was.

Ricky came running towards me and i held him up in my arms.

"Hey buddy."

"Ash, I knew you were still alive. I'm the only one who believed."

"How is this even possible?" Cassie was finally able to talk.

"Well..." And i explained the whole story to them.

After I was done, they were all in tears again, they hated that I had to go through all that, but I reassured them that I was okay now, that I was back.

They all calmed down eventually, and I was able to ask the question that I have been wanting to ask since i stepped foot in this house.

"Guys, where is Lili?" The person i missed the most, my other half, she was not here and i feared the worst.

They looked at me with smiles on their faces and my heart immediately relaxed.

"She's out with someone special. You'll get to meet her soon i bet." Cassie replied.

I was so happy my sister was able to meet someone she can call special.

Suddenly the door burst open and as if I had just summened her, my twin appeared at the door. as soon as her eyes layed on m, she froze as if she had seen a ghost, and to her it probably seemed like so.

I approached her slowly but she did something that broke my heart, she backed away from me almost tripping down the staires, but a taller figure held her in her arms.

"What's wrong my love?" Her voice was soft and sweet while talking to my sister. The latter was still in a state of shock shaking like a leaf which killed me more.

The girl looked up at me with confusion.

"Are you who I think you are, I mean probably, you look exactly like her. Frick, what am I saying. Hello." She said with a kind smile.

Then her attention went back to my sister who she was helping to stand up.

"Lili?" i whispered gently so i dont freak her out more.

"No, no, this is not possible." She muttered.

"It's me Lili. I'm back."

"How, how, I- I thought you were dead, we all thought you were dead. Am I dreaming? Baby, is this real?" She looked at the girl while daying that.

"It is real my love. Go on talk to her."

She approached me cautiously afraid that if she does something wrong i might disappear.

When she got close enough to me, she collapsed in my arms crying, more like screaming as if she was in pain. i hated seeing her like this, she must have gone through so much shit when i wasn't there.

I patted her back trying to comfort her with whispers, but nothing was working.

Then an idea came to mind. I started singing our favorite lullaby that our mom taught us. I felt her body immediately relax, so did everyone else, they sat arround the house enjoying the song, i even saw Ricky falling asleep in Cassie's arms.

I moved us to her bed and she layed her head on my lap. the other girl which i stil dont know the name of sat next to us.

When I was sure she was calm, i called her name with no response.

"She fell asleep." I heard the girl whisper.

I smiled softly down at my sister. I missed her so much, I finally feel complete after a whole year of torture.

"What's your name?" I asked as I looked at who i assumed was my sister's girlfriend by the nickname she gave her.

She smiled and looked at me. "Hello, it's nice to meet you Ashley. My name is Ashley."

I looked at her surprised. We had the same name, what a coincidence that my sister fell in love with a person that has the same name as me.

"Likewise. That was a nice surprised, I never thought there would be someone who can handle my sister. I was wrong."

"Well she did say that you and I are similar in some ways."

"Makes sense then. I'm happy."

We both had a smile as we looked down at the person we loved so much. Then I remembered Kayden was still outside and I cursed at myself under my breath.

"Hey, could I ask you for a favor." Ash nodded. "My friend is still outside in the cold and i completely forgot to get him inside, could you please call him in. His name is Kayden. He's a bit tall, black hair, you can't really miss him."

She nodded and got up to go outside.

A few minutes later, she walked back in, Kayden following after her.

"For a minute I thought you forgot about me." He said, and we all immediately shushed him pointing at the sleeping people.

He looked at us appologitacally and approached introducing himself quietly to my family.

They all accepted him as I already told them about my bestfriend and how he saved my life from those cruel people.

It was getting late now and everyone was getting tired, Mike let Kayden sleep next to him and Ash accepted to sleep on my bed as she saw that i didnt want to let go of Lili.

Everyone settled in for the night and slowly fell asleep.

I was so happy I'm finally home, this was what i was hoping for this whole time I was away.

I'm regretting the conversation I was going to have with my sister tomorrow because her protective side can be very vilent, and I'm scared of what she might do when she finds out what happened to me.
