Layla's P.O.V. :

"Ashley."

She looked at me with a shocked expression on her face.

"So this is why you were avoiding me the first day we met?" She asked.

"Yeah sorry about that, it's just, except for your looks, you remind me a lot of her in a way. The way you act, the way you talk to me. You even gave me the same nickname she used to call me."

"Really... Wow it all makes sense now."

We stayed silent for a while, each one in their thoughts, which was kind of relaxing.

"Um, Ash. I have a question." I looked at her, breaking the comfortable silence.

She nodded for me to ask.

"I'm meeting your parents tomorrow, and I was thinking, if you don't have anything right now, I would like you to meet my family, to see where I live. I want you to know everything. So please, will you come with me to my house?"

A huge smile appeared on her face as she nodded.

"Although we do have some homework to do, I will go with you."

"We could do our homework together if you want. At my place."

"Yeah sure, I would love that."

And with that we made our way to her car to drive to the small cabin I call my home.

It wasn't long before we arrived, and this time I let her drive to the exact location of my house. I was so nervous about her meeting everyone, although she has already met Ricky, I don't know what she will think about the others.

"This cabin looks really nice." Was the first thing she said when we got out of the car. A breath of relief escaped my mouth.

"Thank you, Let's get inside."

She nodded and held my hand gently as we made our way to the door.

"I'm home." I said as I opened the door.

"Layla, you're late. Why is that?" Cassie was the first one to talk. "Oh, you have company." She continued when she saw Ash next to me standing awkwardly.

"Cass, um... This is..."

"Ashley, your girlfriend." She cut me off, hugging Ash to death. "It's nice to finally meet the girl that put a smile back on Layla's face."

Ashley smiled widely and looked at me which made me blush.

"The pleasure is all mine."

"Ash, this is Mike." I introduced the brown haired boy standing behind Cassie.

"Hello." They shook hands, the whole time, the smile hasn't left Ash's lips.

"You made it just in time for dinner. Care to join us Ashley?" Cassie suggested.

"No, It's okay. I don't want to be a bother."

"Don't worry, you're not. Mike always brings more food than necessary, just incase."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. Now sit down, I'm hungry." Mike intervened, forcing Ash and Cass to shut up and sit.

The dinner was nice, and it wasn't as awkward as I thought it would be. We laughed a lot and I was able to just let go of everything and have fun.

It was now half past ten, and Ash needed to go home because her parents called.

We ended up having fun and doing our homework, and just chilling.

Now I was saying goodbye to Ash at her car.

"See you tomorrow beautiful." I blushed at the comment as she opened the door and sat in her car.

"Bye Ash." I gave her a kiss before she turned on the engine and drove off.

Today turned out really good, I wasn't expecting that. I thought she was going to leave me. But I was so wrong. Her acceptance made me trust her even more, and maybe, just maybe, I'm starting to fall in love with her.

I hope tomorrow goes as well as today.

I woke up this morning a nervous wreck, but I was still excited.

My day started normally, as every Saturday, until it was 7pm. That is when Ash came to pick me up.

She knocked on the door and Cassie let her in because I was still not ready. She was wearing something casual and I felt a bit overdressed with my black dress that Cassie bought me for this occasion after I begged her not to because it was a waste of money. But she still insisted. At least Ash said I was perfect, which obviously made me blush.

When I was done, she took my hand and led me to her car. The ride to her house was quite, each of us in there own thoughts. It wasn't awkward but relaxing in a way, with the music playing in the background.

Her house, no more of a mansion, was incredible. I couldn't believe my eyes. All the houses were beautiful around here. But her house stood out the most.

It was huge. I knew her family was wealthy, but this is just... Wow.

"Babe, are you ready?" Ashley's voice snapped me out of my shock. We were now standing at the front door, our hands intertwined, waiting for my answer.

I nodded hesitantly, afraid of what her parents would think of me.

"Wait, Ash." I stopped her before she could open the door. "Are you going to tell your parents about me being, you know, an orphan?"

"If you want me to I will. It all depends on you."

Again, I nodded, not giving her my answer now, waiting to see if her parents would ask me about my life.

She understood, and opened the door gently, revealing a buttler standing in front of us to greet us.

"Good evening Miss. Ashley and her guest, your parents are waiting for you in the dining room, dinner will be ready in a couple of minutes."

"Thank you James." Ash said, before making her way in, still holding my hand and pulling me with her.

As we made our way through this huge house, I took my time to observe my surroundings, and to say it was gorgeous would be an understatement.

At first, when you enter, there is a spiral staircase in front of you leading up and down.

On each side there is two doors leading to God knows where.

Paintings and priceless objects, lined the walls and the tables that were perfectly placed around this room, or entrance.

Everything was just amazing.

Ashley led us to one of the four doors, it was the second door to the left. Which was most likely the dining room.

The room was, not so surprisingly, huge. In the middle was a dining table with 8 chairs in total, all made of dark brown wood. There was a big window on the far wall where you could see the back yard, which was more of a garden, but whatever.

On two of the chairs sat the people that I was so scared of meeting.

Ashley's parents.
