Ashley's P.O.V. :
Saturday was the best day ever. I can finally call Layla my girlfriend. I'm so glad she said yes, I was afraid I'd get rejected. It's been a month now that we're togetherand i'm so happy. But I have one more mission to accomplish. Getting her to open up more to me. I think I've told her everything there is to know about me, and I only know small details about her. But first I needed to talk to her about something.
And as if on cue, she entered the school double doors and headed to her locker. But before I could make my way to her, a groupe of our classmates came up to her and one of them, I think his name is Trent, the captain of the football team, pushed her to the ground and she hit her head on the lockers behind her.
Oh I'm going to kill those bastards. I hate bullies so much.
I approached the guy and turned him to face me.
"What the hell do you think you're doing? Don't even think of touching her." And that said, I punched his stupid face with a lot of force.
"You bitch." He yelled and tried to leap at me but I moved out of the way and he planted face first on the ground.
He got up, anger clear on his face.
"Who the fuck do you think you are? Do you know who you're talking to?"
"Umm... Does it look like I give a shit about you? Don't even think about touching my girlfriend ever again. Got it?" I told him, kicking him where the sun doesn't shine. He tumbled to the floor. His friends helped him up so they could get him away from me.
"Fuck you dykes." He yelled as they dragged him away.
I glared at him until I heard a whimper from behind me. I turned around and saw Layla holding her head in pain.
I ran to her. "Babe, are you alright?" I looked at her head which was slightly bleeding from the hard impact.
"Don't worry Ash, I'm used to this. I'm just going to go to the infermary." She told me in a quite voice.
"I'm coming with you."
"No. Go to class the bell is going to ring. I'll be fine." She left no room for arguing as she kissed me and went off.
I had no choice but to do as she said. The whole time feeling guilty that I left her by herself.
Time flew by, and soon it was lunch. Layla was nowhere to be seen. She missed all her morning classes.
I took some lunch from the cafeteria and headed to 'the tree' she loves so much, hopefully to find her there.
Luckily for me, she was sitting there in all her cuteness, listening to music.
"Hey there." I greeted her as she removed her earphones when she saw me.
"Hey."
"I texted you about twenty times, where were you, why didn't you reply, I was worried about..." She cut me off with a kiss. I don't know why she loves doing that.
"I'm fine, stop worrying please. I didn't reply because I forgot my phone at home. I'm still not used to it you know." She reassured me, while stroking my cheek then brushing strands of my hair behind my ear.
She just knew how to calm me down. I sometimes wonder how she could be so calm after everything that is happening to her at school. But according to what she says, she's used to it.
"Just stop forgetting your phone. I want to be able to talk to you whenever I want, okay?" I said as I hugged her.
I felt her nod her head. Feeling satisfied, I started eating what I had gotten for lunch.
When I glanced at her, I noticed she didn't have any food with her.
"Aren't you hungry?"
She just shook her head and smiled at me. "I don't have any money on me to buy food. Plus I'm not that hungry."
I just sighed and looked at her, not convinced by what she had said.
"Here eat with me. I have enough for the both of us."
She refused at first, but after some persuasion, she agreed, and we ate in silence for a couple of minutes until I decided to brake it to ask her the question I have been meaning to ask since I arrived this morning.
"Lili? My parents have been asking me to invite you to dinner so they could finally meet my girlfriend. I was putting it off till I thought you were ready, but they want to meet you as soon as possible. So what do you say?"
She looked at me for a couple of seconds, then she replied with a simple shrug and okay.
"Really? Thank you. You're amazing. Is Friday okay with you?" She nodded and a smile illuminated her face. This gorgeous smile that makes me melt from the inside.
She pecked my lips, and stood up to go to class as the bell rang.
For the rest of the day, the smile never left my face and I think I looked like an idiot. But I don't care. Her meeting my parents is a big deal, and I'm so happy it will finally be done.
I hope that someday I could meet her family, it would be nice to know the people who raised this wonderful girl that I'm proud to call my girlfriend.
