Ashley's P.O.V:
The first three hours passed quite rapidly, mainly because I was staring at the beautiful girl sitting next to me. And I noticed now that I still didn't know her name.
I tried to talk to her, but she would either ignore me, or give me a small response.
Soon the lunch bell rang, and the girl rushed out without giving me a glance. A frown appeared on my face.
Why is she avoiding me?
I stood up and went to the cafeteria to get myself something to eat. I decided on some fries and a slice of pizza.
I paid for them and searched the room for the red eyed beauty, but I couldn't find her anywhere.
I went outside in hopes to see her there, and fortunately I found her sitting under a big shady tree, her earphones in her ears.
I approached her a smile on my face, and sat in front of her. Her eyes were closed and her head was laying on the tree.
"What do you want?" She asked opening her eyes.
Ok. That was rude. But hey at least she's talking to me.
"I saw you sitting alone, so I came to keep you company." I said flashing her a smile.
"You don't have to do that. I don't mind being alone. Plus, no one would want to sit with me. Especially if you wanted to make friends."
"What if I want to be your friend?" I wanted her to warm up to me. She looks like a nice girl.
"You'll just end up leaving in the end. My trust isn't gained easily." Something flashed in her eyes. I think it was sadness and... regret?
"What makes you say that? Why would I leave you?"
"I have secrets. They could make you run away from me, and I don't want to risk being hurt again." She was clenching her fists so hard that her knuckles were turning white.
"At least give me a chance. I could surprise you. Please." I was begging by now.
"Whatever." She stood up as the bell rang and walked past me, to go to class.
"Hey wait." I ran to catch up to her. "What's your name?"
"Layla." She simply replied. And we both walked together to class, in silence.

The rest of the day passed by really fast, and soon I was walking to my car so I could drive back home.
On my way, I saw Layla walking on the side walk, so I stopped next to her to see if she wanted me to take her home.
"Want a ride Lily?" She flinched when she heard the nick name.
"No thank you. And please don't call me that." She looked away as my eyes met hers.
"Are you sure. I don't mind driving you home."
"No really. I like walking."
"As you wish. See you tomorrow Lily."
"Don't call me that." Was the last thing I heard from her before I drove away.
Why didn't she like that nickname. I thought it was cute. But I don't care I won't stop calling her that.
I'm really looking forward to seeing her tomorrow. I think i'm falling for her. She's the most beautiful person I have ever seen.
Yeah she was a little cold and distant. But everyone has there own secrets and fears they don't want anyone to know about. But that just makes her who she is. And that's what's attracting me to her.
I want to discover the real Layla. And I want her to trust me, and maybe someday we could become close.
What are you hiding Layla Blake?
