strangely, the way sinb protected yerin and the small "hug" between them made yerin sort of giddy for the rest of the day. whenever she thought about it, she had to fight the urge to smile. yerin was genuinely having a good day and all thanks to sinb. yerin was walking to her next class when eunwoo approached her. "h-hey, yerin." eunwoo said shyly, smiling nervously. yerin pursed her lips slightly before replying. "hi." "i'm really sorry for the way i treated you before. i was just being a total jerk and you didn't deserve that. so to make it up to you, i'd like to invite you to eat lunch with me."

yerin was speechless. why would him of all people want her to sit with him? she didn't have an answer for him. "i know i don't deserve your forgiveness but please let me make it up to you." eunwoo begged. yerin nibbled at her lip shyly and nodded slowly. "o-okay..." she muttered. a smile grew on eunwoo's face and he nodded as well. "great! i'll see you at lunch?" he said, smiling hopefully to which yerin replied with another head nod. they said their goodbyes and went their separate ways. "are you seriously trying to win over sinb's punching bag?" changkyun asked as eunwoo came around the corner. "the fastest way to take down an empire is to take away their loyalists." he said.

sinb was walking down the hallway with moonbin, jungkook and a few of her teammates, dressed in their football uniforms, as they all just got out of class and were heading to the canteen for lunch before their practice. "today's our last practice before the game. you guys ready?" sinb asked. "yes, captain!" they answered enthusiastically. "what are we gonna do?" sinb asked. "dominate the field, captain!" her teammates replied, making a scene as they walked down the hallway. whatever students were in the hallway at the time cheered for their team as they passed.

but sinb's entire mood fell when she saw yerin sitting with eunwoo, changkyun and eunseo. "sinb, we can't afford for you to get kicked from the team. don't do it." jungkook whispered to sinb, holding her arm tightly as they walked past their table. "hey, football captain!" eunseo called out tauntingly, making sure she was all over changkyun when sinb looked at her. sinb clenched her jaw and kept walking. "oh, come on, don't be rude, b. we're all friends, right?" changkyun joined in. "friends don't fuck each other's girlfriend's behind their backs, you dumb piece of shit." sinb growled, pulling her arm from jungkook's grip and turning to face them.

"i mean, you clearly weren't doing it right if she came to me." changkyun insulted. sinb scoffed and rolled her eyes. "she's obviously an attention seeking slut so she'll cheat on you just as she cheated on me. have a nice fucking day." sinb said, flipping off changkyun and eunseo before walking away. "you're not allowed to talk about her like that!" changkyun exclaimed, jumping up from his seat. sinb stopped dead in her tracks and scoffed amusingly. "and what are you gonna do about it? get your ass kicked again?" sinb asked sarcastically, making her teammates laugh.

"sit down, dumbass." eunwoo said to changkyun, rolling his eyes before turning his attention to sinb. "is there something you're looking for?" eunwoo asked with a smirk, side eyeing yerin. sinb looked at yerin as well. yerin gave a small smile and waved at her but sinb shook her head. "no. just entertaining the jackass and his skank. i was heading out, anyway." sinb sneered, turning around and storming out of the canteen. yerin's smile dropped and she pursed her lips into a small pout.

"i'm sorry sinb's so mean to you, yerin. i'd never treat you like that." eunwoo said convincingly, even though he had treated her worse than that the week before, stroking the back of yerin's hand with his thumb. yerin giggled awkwardly, slowly squirming her hand away from eunwoo's. the football players grimaced at the horrible acting. "there goes sinb's good mood." lisa huffed out. "let's go fetch captain dearest before she raises hell." jungkook said with a sigh, leading the team out of the canteen to search for sinb.
