"Ridiculous" said Hermione tiredly. She took down the poster which the twins had pinned over one of Mr Filch's notices. "You do realise we'll have to talk to them about this Ronald"

Ron looked reasonably alarmed by this. "Why?"

"Because were prefects! Its our duty"

"Were prefects not dictators just relax" Ron brushed off.

"Mione no offence but the prospect of getting those boys to stop doing whatever they like is near enough impossible" y/n added.

"You underestimate me. Anyway Harry whats wrong?" Hermione said noting his glum expression.

"Seamus thinks he's lying about you-know-who" Ron explained as the group made there way down the moving staircases.

"Hmm yes I heard. Lavenders been saying the same, did she mention it to you y/n?"

Before y/n was able to think of a believable excuse as to why she wasn't in the dormitories until late hours Harry interjected loudly "oh been talking about what a lying, attention seeking dick i am have you?"

"Of course not" Hermione said calmly "Infact I told her to keep her stupid mouth shut and not say another word about you"

Ron's mouth hung in admiration.

Hermione paid no attention "but Harry you really must try to stop jumping down our throats. If you haven't noticed we're all on youre side"

Y/n nodded in agreement. Hermione made a valid point. Despite the fact she'd also been feeling very angry, she never once doubted her friends loyalities.

"Sorry" Harry said lowly.

"Its quite allright" Hermione smiled.

"Dont worry about it mate" Ron added.

"How's everyone feeling about Defence against the Dark arts today?" Y/n asked.

"I haven't a clue how to feel, she's just weird isn't she?" Hermione said.

"Wierd?" Ron chuckled "the woman's a lunatic"

The classroom was actually fairly quiet in anticipation of Umbridges arrival. She was, as it stood an unknown entity. No-one knew how strict she was going to be. Y/n didn't have a good feeling though.

"Good morning children" her sickeningly sweet voice sang.

Y/n turnt to see her wearing a horrendous pink fluffy skirt with matching pink shoes and a puffy blouse.

"Did you not hear what I said?" She giggled "Good morning children"

A few people muttered good morning back to her.

"No that won't do at all. Id like you to all say Good Morning Proffesor Umbridge. One more time shall we. *ahem* Good morning class.."

"Good morning Proffesor Umbridge" the class chanted back.

Y/n snickered to herself quietly at the strange woman's request.

"Amused?" Umbridge said through a clearly forced smile.

"Not in the slightest acctually" y/n replied through an equally fake smile.

"Perfect. Now everybody wands away and quills out" she began waving her wand at a pile of books which started to hand themselves out.
