Y/n pov:

🎶(First day of my life - Bright Eyes)

"Urm Y/n have you seen my jumper!" Ginny bellows down the stairs.
"Merlin Ginny I just told you I put it on youre bedside table!" I shout back.
Now ordinarily this might seem a tad rude or ill-mannered, but I assure you im quite familiar with the Weasley family. I've spent every other Christmas here since I was 11, and when I'm not at Hogwarts or in Little Winching you'll almost certainly find me here.

"Always losing things is that one" Molly assures while ruffling my hair on her way to the kitchen.
"Fred, George i want a word with you two in the kitchen please" she continues sternly.
I walk past the two boys giggling to myself as they frown at me. I know exactly what Mollys going to do, she's going to take the boys practical jokes and probably throw away their sweets which I know they've spent ages trying to perfect. So I thought what better idea than to take handfuls of each of their candies the day prior and contain them in my backpack to then return to them today when we leave for the world Cup.

"Mum thats so unfair" I hear George exclaim frustratedly. Peering round the archway to the kitchen I quietly observe the altercation.
"You can't take them away mum! We spent six months developing those" Fred argues.
"I will not be told what I can and can't do by my own sons in my own house. And six months?!" She cried "what a waste of time now.." Molly raised her wand to the sweets and I watch as they levitate across the room and straight into the bin "I suggest you concentrate youre efforts towards youre schoolwork rather than nonsense jokes! Maybe that way you would of got more O.W.L.S, like y/n did"
I felt a surge of anger flourish through me. Sure Molly only wanted the best for the boys, but she was constantly comparing them to others. Personally I think that there quite extraordinary just the way they are.
"But-" George began to retort.
"Leave it boys Mollys right" I interupt, admittedly that seems like a bit of a dick thing to do. But ill argue for the boys when we return, for now I just want to keep the peace.
The twins look to eachother in disbelief, I'm usually the first person to back their corner.
"Oh urm yes thankyou dear" Molly says suspiciously.
"Yeah thanks dear" George mocks glumly.
"Great friend you are" Fred finishes.
The pair leave the kitchen with their heads hanging.

Everyone now stood excitedly in the living room. All us children stood in a circle around Arthur who was being weighed down by an extraordinarily large backpack.
"And I'm sure all of you will do us proud but as you know we'll be meeting Amos Diggory and his son on the way, so please best behaviour everyone"
I notice Arthur give a prolonged look to the twins while giving us all our warning. The frowns that there ordinarily cheery faces harboured made me feel so sad for them. George and Fred weren't their brothers. And that's okay because as I said they really are quite brilliant in their own unique way. I can't wait to give them there sweets back they look so disheartened.
"Have you seen Amos's son, Cedric I think his name is. He's gorgeous" Ginny whispered to me and Hermione, breaking me away from my thoughts.
"He is quite hot" Hermione giggled.
"Oh my God Hermione" I said playfully hitting her arm.

"Do be safe" Molly addressed us all while hugging everyone goodbye.
"Keep an eye on the boys for me dear, and don't think to harshly of me, I know you don't acctually agree with what I done earlier. I just want them to do well in life." She whispered to me as she wrapped me in a bone crushing hug.
"They will do well Molly, I know they will" i assured with a noticeable bitter tone to my voice. I really hated how much everybody underestimated them. Ahead of me i noticed Fred and George hoist up there bags and leave through the door with out even a goodbye to their mother. Letting out an audible sigh and giving Molly a sympathetic smile i followed shortly after.

"Where exactly is it were going?" Hermione asked Ginny.
"Theres a port key somewhere nearby that will transport us straight to the stadium, but we've just got to find it first" She awnsered as we all made our way through what ordinarily would've been quite a beautiful forest, but something was distracting me from the scenery.
"I'll catch up with you guys in a bit ive just got to talk to the twins"

"I wouldn't worry too much boys" I call as i run to catch up with them.
"Oh here she is" Fred begins bitterly
"Little golden girl, we should be more like her ay Fred" George mocks.
"Yeah thats right George, maybe then we'll do allright in life"
I reach in to my bag as the two boys continue making various nasty and sarcastic remarks about me.
"If you're quite done" i interupt "I have something that might be of interest to you" I smile while presenting them with the large container filled with all different variations of their sweets.
"No way" Fred grinned
"Blimey how did you manage that y/n?" George asked excitedly.
"Well I knew Molly would do something like this so last night I snuck in to youre room and took samples of all youre sweets and i kept them safe until we were out the house" I smile up at them both.
"Youre brilliant" they said in unison as they both slung an arm over my shoulder.
"I knew you wouldn't just let them go to waste. I'm telling you now y/n when we get our own shop im making you stock manager. No better friend exists than you!" Fred yelled while dramatically flailing his arms in the air.
"It would be an honour" I respond just as dramatically.

"Hey sorry for what we said, we didn't mean it, we were just ... you know... upset" George whispered in my ear.
"Dont worry about it Georgie" I reassure.

Now that there wasn't any tension between myself and the twins it gave me an opportunity to take in the beautiful forest. I'm so easily consumed by beauty, things like the sky and the stars, even the decorative moving portraits at Hogwarts still fascinated me. One would assume that they would lose their 'charm' after having gone to the school for so many years, but not for me. I often spent my free periods roaming the hallways and taking in the pure magic of it all. However the forest was something quite different. There was no sky to stare at, instead the leaves of the various trees all laced together created a wonderfully disorganised shelter. Luna would definitely appreciate the lovely chaos of this forest i thought to myself.

Ahead of us i saw Arthur conversing with a friendly looking man who I presume must be Amos Diggory. Myself and the twins started to make our way over so we could introduce ourselves when suddenly a boy litterally jumped down from the trees and landed infront of Hermione and Ginny. What a weird thing to do. Why was he in a tree? Anyway the boy began introducing himself to everyone he eventually ended up in front of me and suddenly stilled in his motion, his mouth hung open slightly.
"Urm hi I'm y/n" I said breaking the awkward silence and sticking my hand out for him. He quickly took it and shook it eagerly, at this point i felt one of the twins arms from around my shoulder tighten slightly and pull me towards them. I didn't acknowledge it enough to notice which twin it was.
"I'm Cedric, Cedric Diggory I don't belive we've met before" he said scratching the back of his neck and observing me closely.
"Urm no I don't think so, I'm in Gryffindor and I'm a year below you so maybe that's why" i said shrugging my shoulders.

Cedric parted from all of us a while later and rejoined with Amos and Arthur. I continued walking with the twins when George lent down and said quietly "why were you being so friendly with him?"
"What do you mean, I only told him my name" I giggled in response to George acting so weird "and anyway why shouldn't I be friendly to him?"
"I don't know...its a quidditch thing I guess... He beat us one year..maybe I'm still bitter about it" George joked half heartedly.
