Y/ns pov:
As we stepped into what would be our new home the first thing I noticed was the dismal smell of damp wood. When entering Headquarters you were greeted with a long narrow hallway. I acknowledged that all the walls seemed to be a similar depressing shade of grey.
"Allright love?" George asked quietly.
"Yeah, its nice" I smiled falsely.
"No need to lie, I won't take offense" a familiar voice sounded from ahead.
I looked round to see Sirius leaning on the door frame "Sirius!" I called excitedly.
He came forwards and wrapped me in a hug. "its good to see you darling"
"So is this youre house?" Fred asked.
"My parents house yes" Sirius spoke dimly. "Its horrid i know, but its ideal for the Order...is Harry here?" He asked as he scanned the group.
"No" Ginny and Ron awnsered.
"Dumbledore wouldn't let him come yet" I added.
"Merlin! Thats-" Sirius began angrily.
"Absurd. We know." I finished.
After chatting in the kitchen with the other members of the Order, and being introduced to the new people, such as Tonks, everyone started to grow tired.
"Do we get our own rooms?" Ginny asked.
"Molly and Arthur have their own room on the second floor and there's four rooms on the top floor for you guys." Remus explained.
"Four?" Ron asked
"Yes, there will be more people coming, so I thought maybe the twins could share, or Ginny and Y/n." Sirius awnsered. "Oh and Ron, if Harry does end up coming you'll share with him."
"They'll sort it out between themselves" Molly ushered us all upstairs and handed me the bag containing everyone's belongings. Something told me Molly wanted us gone so that she could speak to the adults.
All the Weasley siblings had run upstairs to make dibs on certain rooms, I knew id be sharing with someone so I didn't really mind. I took the time to slowly make my way up and take in my surroundings. As I reached the second landing a large portrait on the wall began to shake slightly, and let out hisses and whispers. Leaning down I inspected the name on the frame Walburga Black. I observed that the frame seemed chipped and as an account of the moth eaten curtain covering it, I assumed it was quite old.
"Leave that." A wirey voice spoke.
Instantly taking a step back i apologised "oh sorry"
A scrawny house elf came in to sight. He stared at me, curiosity filled his beady eyes. "Interesting" he spoke to himself.
"What is sir?" I asked.
"Sir? Very interesting." He continued muttering. I watched as the creature started to polish the frame of the painting i had just been looking at. "If only you knew the vermin that infests youre house Mistress. But there's someone here. Someone interesting. She doesn't know though. Stupid girl."
Before I could argue his insulting words "You allright love?" George called from the top of the stairs.
"Coming. Horrid thing." I snarled at the elf.
I reached the top of the stairs and George pulled me in by the waist, "hey" he said quietly.
"Hey" I laughed
"So urm, I was thinking..maybe..I don't know..its okay if you don't want to..but" he trailed off while he played with my hair "well I thought we could maybe...well if we told people..I mean ..I kind of want you to be...ugh"
"George i would love to be youre girlfriend" I said faintly.
"Its just that- wait really? So do you think we can tell people? Does this mean I can show you off when we get to school? I'm the luckiest man ever" he grinned as he picked me up.
"Did she say yes dipshit?" Fred called from upstairs.
"Did who say yes?" Ron asked.
"Y/n dummy." Ginny giggled.
"Did she say yes to what?" Ron questioned.
"To George" Fred smiled.
"What does he want?" Ron continued innocently.
George took hold of my hand and we ran up to the third floor to meet everyone "shes my girlfriend Ronald." George announced.
"Girlfriend!" He cried. "Am I the only one who didn't know about this?"
"Yes" Fred and Ginny said.
"How did you know Gin?" I asked.
"I wasn't born yesterday y/n"
"Right so, now that me and my lovely girlfriend here are official, all you wonderfull people can get you're own rooms." George declared dramatically.
"Yes" Ginny said happily.
"Hey" I added, hurt that she was so relieved to be rid of me.
"Oh I love having you as a roomie, but youre midnight trips were getting rather annoying" she laughed.
"Thats fair" I blushed.
"Midnight trips?" Ron cried "you know what I don't know if I approve of you dating her"
"Jealous you didn't get her first?" Fred joked.
"I know I am" Ginny winked.
Everyone bent over laughing, even Ron, who I knew was only acting this way because he cared.
"Thanks Ron" I said as I placed a light kiss on his cheek. He turnt an obvious shade of red and just nodded enthusiastically in response.
"Lets go unpack roomie." I said while taking a hold of Georges hand.
