13. Trials and Tribulations

Narrators pov:

Everyone sat in the stands waiting for the first task. Hermione had spent the whole of the previous evening teaching Harry the accio charm. It was a suggestion from Moody which y/n found awfully peculiar. Something about the man just didn't sit right with her. However his suggestion paid off because Harry used the simple summoning charm and managed to complete the first task in one peice. Prehaps Moody knew about Igor and he was just stressed. Maybe that's why he always acted so strangely she thought to herself.

The stands went wild in excitement for Harry. Everyone cheered loudly. Even Ron seemed to be coming round.

If one was to look at the stands, they would see four groups of children all divided separately into their houses. Four different clusters of four different colours. But if you were to look much closer. A gryffindor girl and a Slytherin boy sat together out of veiw of everyone.
"Yes!" Y/n cried in joy for Harry.
"I think Viktor was better" Nott said with a shrug of his shoulders.
"Youre just stubborn, and youre pride won't let you admit that Harry was brilliant" y/n joked.
"No just 'cos I don't lick his ass like everyone else does" Theodore retorted light heartedly.
"Whatever Nott, it was good to see you but I better get back before anyone notices im gone." Y/n said with a final wave.

Theodore and y/n hadnt become friends as such. But they enjoyed eachothers company. Nott would still say cruel remarks to her when he was with the other slytherins, but she really couldn't care in the slightest. There blood pride meant nothing to her and Theo was nice when it was just him and her.

Y/n made her way over to her friends but just before she got to them Charlie came up to her.
"Reverie is that you?" He called excitedly.
"Oh my God Charlie!" She ran up and gave him a hug.
"Its been forever!" She continued
"I know I know, you were tiny last time I saw you. But hey look at you now all grown up" he laughed.
"Oh that reminds me, where are you spending the holidays this year?" Charlie asked excitedly.
"I spent last year at home, so I'm due to spend it at the burrow this year, why?" She responded.
"I'm home this year" he smiled.
"Shut up! No way!" She hugged him again.
"Yeah It'll be good to come back, I wish things were better with Percy though." He sighed.
"I know." Y/n agreed. Little was said about Percy because, understandably, the Weasleys found the situation quite upsetting "im sure he'll come round eventually." Y/n tried to reason.

"Alright Charlie?" Fred greeted. As him George, Alicia, Angelina, Ron and Hermione made their way over.

"Fred! Hey man, I've just been saying to y/n that I'm home for the holidays this year." Charlie said as he thoughtlessly placed his arm around y/ns shoulder. Y/n didn't notice but George grimaced at how hands on he was being with her but then looked down to Alicia who was hanging off his arm and just let out a deflated sigh.

"You okay Georgie?" Alicia simpered.

"Yeah fine" He smiled. George felt bad, it wasn't in his nature to lead someone on. But then again he wasn't even sure if he was leading her on. He did like Alicia she was pretty and kind but he was so protective over y/n for some reason and she just had a way of driving him crazy. Whether that's a good thing or not he didn't know. It was safe to say that George Weasleys head was utterly scrambled.
