13. Rendezvous

Richard and Blair are sitting next to each others in a truck.

Blair moves a bit further and Richard follows him.

Blair complaints, "There is enough space over there for you to sit comfortably."

"I'm a bit cold. Need to warm up a bit."

Richard holds Blair's hand.

He comments, "Your hands are cold too. Let me warm them up."

Blair keeps his face icy as usual. Doesn't react to his advance. He knows the general likes him. Even a blind man would notice that.

After the betrayal of his ex-lover, he has no interest to find another gong. He is very busy man. Running a base is very demanding duty.

Blair protests, "I shouldn't have come too."

"The journey would take weeks to complete. I can't leave you too long. What if a man stole you away during my absence?"

"You could say farts with your sweet lips."

Richard smiles smugly.

He adds, "You need to practice your abilities too. Only practice makes it perfect."

"The base..."

"It would stay where they are. Your Boss is very capable man."

Blair is silent. He doesn't want to come. Unfortunately this buffon declares a military order. This is abuse of power.

It will take few weeks to reach biggest granary in their province. Many roads are blocked by cars crashed into each others. Many times they have to give up and find another alternative route.

A soldier has marked their route using a map. They would use the same route later when they return to base.

It's already 3PM when Richard decides to stop. They need to find a good shelter for the night.

Zombies are nocturnal creatures. They hunt preys at night.

His men clear up path to a small condo.

Richard is aiming to a zombie when he is stunned.

The face is half rotten. He still could recognize him.

He asks angrily, "Where? Where did you keep her?"

A gun is fired and the zombie's head explodes before he could bite Richard.

The general stares coldly to Blair. The secretary is shocked. It's the first time he receives a cold stare from him. The general usually flirts him in daily basis.

Richard goes on rampage into the five floors condo building. He kicks the doors open and kills any zombies he encounters in the units.

Click! Click! Click!

He runs out of bullets in third floor. He draws his army dagger from his boots. He continues his lone crusade against zombies.

A stab to zombie head.

His clothes are stained with black blood.

Richard doesn't seem to care that much. He just keep on his killingspree.

Blair follows him closely. Richard is usually very calm and composed. To see him like this. Unlike him at all.

The general keeps on running upstairs, killing all the zombies he met.

In an unit, Richard is frozen on spot after he kicks down the front door.

A female zombie is leaping toward him. A thick belt tied to her neck prevents her from biting him.
