(I'll start making mood boards next chapter, I'm just too lazy to do it for this one)
Kinsley's POV:
I finish my croissant and start reading. More customers came into the café and he had to get their orders. A few minutes go by and Haden brings me a small water. I look up and he's already on his way to another table.
I get up out of my seat and make my way to the counter. He comes back behind it.
"What, do you need something?"
"I just wanted to know if you needed help?" He gives me a weird stare. "The deal?"
"I said take one of my shifts, not work it with me."
"But, you look swamped and I was just wondering if you wanted help." He contemplated it for a couple seconds.
"Fine." He says throwing me an apron. "Just work the cash register and bring people the stuff I leave out. I'll take care of the orders." I slide behind the counter and start ringing up peoples bills.
40 minutes go by, when Jess and Grey walk in.
"Kinsley? Why are you working?" Grey asks me.
"I lost the game." I told him truthfully.
"Oh, Come sit with us. Make Haden do all the work." I laugh a little but return to the work I was doing.
"I can't. He never told me how long I have to work."
"I'm sure he wouldn't mind." Grey tells me. I look around and see Grey at a table getting somebody's order.
"Fine." I finish the last persons bill and leave it on the counter for Haden. We sit down at the usual booth and I take a sip of my water. "My back hurts."
"I'm sure Haden would love to message your back." Grey tells me.
I almost spit out my water. "I'm sorry, what?"
"You heard me." I roll my eyes at him
"Very funny, Grey." I look over and see Liv walking through the door. She walks behind the counter and looks for her apron. Haden walks over to the table and sits down next to me.
"Hey, you don't have to work anymore." He tells me
"You sure?"
"Yeah, Liv is here so I don't need your help anymore."
"Okay." I say pushing him out of the booth and take off the apron.
"Thanks." I sit back down and he throws the apron to Liv. Haden leaves to get somebody's order and I decide to pack up my stuff and go.
"Leaving us already?" Jess asks
"I'm sure I'll see you both later. I'm going to go work on my painting." I say getting up out of my seat. I smile at liv and walk up to the counter. "Can I have a croissant to go please?"
She pulls out the croissant and starts ringing up the croissant. "that will be two dollars." Haden comes and rips the croissant out of her hand and gives it to me. "Haden, what are you doing?"
"She get's it for free." I smile at them both and just nod. Haden looked happy that I asked for food for once. Not knowing what to do I waved goodbye and left them both. I go up to my building and quickly grab my art clothes. I make my way back downstairs and see somebody who looks really familiar. I've seen his face somewhere, but when he notices me staring his face gets shocked.
I then realize that he was the guy from the party. I walk up to him, but he tries to go the other direction. I grab his shirt and turn him around. "What is your name?"
