Kinsley's POV:
I wasn't sure wether or not I would have to pay for the croissant, but I ate it anyways. Jess and I kept the conversations going. She was talking about this one time when her dad almost ran over a cat, but she screamed causing him to slam on the breaks before it could get hit. My eyes trailed the room while she was talking, landing directly on his. I don't know why he was watching me. I didn't want to advert my eyes, I didn't want him to think I was weak. The glares lasted for a couple of seconds before Jess snapped in my face.
"Kinsley, are you even listening to me?" she asks.
"Yeah, Yeah. You were talking about the cat" I say turning my attention back to her. We both were finished with our meal and left money on the table, getting up to leave. My eyes naturally found my way back to his, but he wasn't there. Not paying much attention to it, we headed back to the dorm. Unfortunately for me, I never finished unpacking. Jess helped a little, but eventually got tired and went to bed.
I don't understand how she could go to bed so early. It's only 10:23, I wouldn't be able to fall asleep for another two or three hours. I did my best to finish folding my clothes and pack away my suitcases. I didn't really like going on my phone late at night, It strained my eyes. My mom used to tell me the more I go on my phone the more my brain deteriorates.
I picked up 'The Notebook' and tried to finish it. I've read it about four or five times, but it never gets old. By the time I was done, It was 12:14. I decided to go wash my face and get ready for bed. As I lay down, my mind wanders to the café boy...
*the next day*
I wake up to Jess not in her bed. My classes don't start till tomorrow, but I decided to get ready and travel the path between my classes. I have a constant fear of getting lost or being late. I got dressed into a white blouse and khaki pants. I put on some rings and a little bit of makeup and left for the day.
I didn't want to risk another interaction with Haden, so I decided to go the opposite direction. I stop by a little bistro and go in to eat breakfast. I read that this restaurant was on the meal plan, so I didn't have to worry about spending my own money. I order a large coffee and a crêpe and sit down.
The coffee tasted like filtered sink water mixed with dirt, is this even allowed to be served? This has to be a heath hazard of some sort. I hate to admit it but Haden's café's coffee was ten times better.
I get out of my seat and make my way to my future classes. I get lost in the beauty of the campus every time I see it. I enter the english literature building where my first class will be held tomorrow with Professor Ambrose. I heard he's one of the best Professors at the school, all the students love him.
I continue my course to all my different classes for the next hour, and find myself in front of the library. I go in and see the receipt boy from yesterday. He acknowledges me and moves away from his friends.
