She was exactly how I remember her. I was paralyzed. She remembered me. I couldn't even think straight. Finally, though, I managed to pull myself together enough to whisper "Tris?" Then I kissed her.

I could tell she didn't have complete control over her body yet; she just kind of limply sprawled out on the ground. I kissed her anyways, and it seemed like that spread feeling throughout her body, because she clasped my face between her hands and pulled me closer, kissed me back. Somewhere behind us, Caleb cleared his throat to get our attention. When Tris turned and seemed to process her brother standing there, she threw me off her and tackled her brother to the floor. "Caleb!" She screamed as she did so. Nerdy Caleb looked stunned as he got shoved to the ground.

Then he gasped and hugged his sister tight, seeming to not want to let her go ever again. I notced that although nothing else about Tris had changed, her hair had somehow grown out, and it looked like liquid sunshine flowing down her shoulders.

Caleb was still hugging her and whispering,"I did it. I did it. Your alive!" Tris pulled away, and asked a question that did not surprise me at all if she remembered everything. "Did what, Caleb? How am I alive?" Caleb quickly filled her in on the events that occured in bringing her back to life, while I realized for the first time how much noise we were making. Thank gosh no one but Caleb is here this early in the morning.

When Caleb was done Tris was quiet for a few seconds, letting it all sink in. Then she exclaimed excitedly, "So I'm really alive?" She laughed, full of relief and even giddiness, it seemed. She tried to stand up but stumbled and fell into me. I caught her and tried to make her sit back down, but she was being stubborn and got right back up again. She began circiling the room, leaning against the wall for support and not caring about her lack of balance. I smiled. That's my Tris. She touched everything within reach, staring in awe as her fingers made contact. "I'm alive!" She exclaimed again.

I walked next to her to steady her. She tripped on something and fell on me, knocking me over too. We both tumbled to the ground as Caleb just stared. Tris landed on top of me, breathing heavily and smiling. She gave me a soft kiss before pushing herself into a sitting position next to me. I did the same, and Caleb soon joined us in our little circle. Then Caleb aked the question that was probably on his mind the whole time.

"Do you remember anything after you-you know..." Tris looked at him carefully. "After David killed me? I remember seeing mom. She took my hand and hugged me. I remember going with her somewhere. And then there was this bright white light... and then I was here."

Caleb looked somewhat disappointed. Tris looked to me and was about to say something else when the door to the lab swung open loudly. We all stood up and looked to the door, where David glared at us menacingly.
