Christina invited us in for coffee. I set my coat on the rack by the door and sat on the familiar couch. Tris sat next to me, looking uncomfortable. It was then that I realized Tris had never been here before.
Christina had gotten this place after Tris died. I had come here a lot; it helped me get my mind off things. But Tris hasn't seen Christina in two years, let alone been to her house.
"You look nervous," I whispered. She nodded and grabbed my hand. Christina came back a few seconds later with three cups. We all took one.
"How did you do it?" Christina asked after a few seconds of awkward silence. Tris shifted uncomfortably under her stare. "Caleb did it. He...did something."
"Wow," said Christina. "Now I regret not talking to him for two years. Poor kid. I don't think anyone talked to him." I felt Tris tense next to me, could feel the anger building up inside her. "Why not? He really is a good kid, you know. It's not his fault I died." Christina flinched. "Well, I don't really know. He just didn't socialize much. He was always working in that freaking lab. Was that what he was working on all this time?"
I nodded, biting back my own guilt. I hadn't talked to him much either, but I wasn't about to tell Tris that. Christina cleared her throat. "You're right Tris, he's a good kid."
She glanced Tris up and down. "I have one more very vital question." Tris looked up from her coffee. "Yeah?"
"What the heck are you wearing?"

Wow I managed to make my paragraph even shorter than usual! Ha ha...oops.

I know this is a Divergent fic but I realized something the other day, about THG. I just really needed to share this it made me cry: did anyone realize that the name Rue is also a verb that means regret? I mean, throughout the story, Katniss regrets not being able to save her. WHAT EVEN IS THIS??
