"We should go now though," Miles said after ten minutes. "It takes a while to walk."

I nodded, even if I didn't really want to go. I rather just stay here with Miles.

As we were walking, it was cold. My hands were frozen, so I hold Miles' hand to warm mine up, but his was also freezing. I kept on holding it though. There was something so comforting holding someone's hand. I had no idea why. We walked up a sidewalk and then turned. Every breath I'd make, white puffs would circle me. I looked up at Miles and said:

"Thanks for doing all of this."

"You're welcome." He said. "Even if it was mostly Abby doing the work, and I just watched." He admitted laughing.

"Should I be jealous that you spent a lot of time with her?" I asked, obviously joking.

"No, because I have my eye on her best friend." He said laughing, I laughed too.

We went to The Keg, it was probably the fanciest restaurant I could have thought of. As we walked in, Abby glared at Miles. Abby was wearing a pretty green dress which brought out her eyes.

"You're not punctual, Gabriel! It's five thirty-one!" She said. I had to think of who was Gabriel for a moment, and then I realized.

"Traffic," Miles smirked.

Abby rolled her eyes, and then looked at me. "Happy birthday, Emma!" She hugged me tightly. "I can't believe you're considered an adult now!"

"I know," I said smiling. Even though eighteen is technically an adult.

Miles and Abby booked a room inside of The Keg. I liked the idea of a party room because I liked the fact that we could just hang out with all of my friends. Like Avery, Abby, Marcia, Brandon—, Marcus, and other people. I was dreading speaking with Marcus because I knew he would have wanted to speak with me. And last time we spoke, we didn't end on good terms. And plus, I doubted Miles had the patience for him.

"Do you like it?" Abby whispered. "Gabriel and I worked really hard." She said louder.

"Yeah, but you did most of the work, Abby," Miles complimented. Miles always said that I was the humble one, but he was actually more humble than me.

"That's true," Abby admitted with a grin, but obviously Abby did do most of the work. It wasn't just Miles being nice.

I hugged Avery first."Happy birthday, Emma!" He said smiling. "Now you're supposed to be more mature because you're an adult!" he said nudging me lightly.

"Why does everybody keep on saying that?" I questioned smiling.

"Because you were a baby,"

"Well, not anymore," I said smiling.

"Damn straight," he said. "Here," he said passing me a bottle of whiskey.

"Thanks," I said.

"Don't drink it all at once, light-weight," he said taping my nose.

"Okay," I said laughing.

"Abby really messed up by inviting Marcus," Avery admitted.
