_____________
I didn't eat all day. My stomach was growling. The fact that my manager kept on calling me made it so much harder to stay sane, she's been calling sporadically since six o'clock. She's always been very invasive. I was going crazy. I wrapped my head in my arms, and I moved back and forth in an incessant manner.
Miles and I barely knew each other before he told me that he loved me. Miles said it in the least romantic way, and it was spontaneous as hell, but that's how he always did things. I never had a chance to ask him if he was actually planning on saying it that day or not. Although when he said it, I was completely unaware that he was going to say that. And after he said it, I knew that I also loved him, too.

I just came back from our family's annual vacation. This year we went to Zihuatanejo, Mexico. It was such a nice vacation because I was finally tanned. I also loved the vacation, because we always went somewhere cool. We never repeated the same country. It was a fun vacation with my family. Everybody at work kept on complimenting my tan, to which I smiled at. In Mexico, I called Miles pretty much every day. He kept on telling me how much he missed me.
I was home for two days before Miles called me to come to his house.
"Come over!" Miles pleaded. We've been dating for three months now. It didn't feel that long, but it was. I never enjoyed being with someone so much. On top of that, it felt right with Miles. Lots of the time it didn't feel right to be with someone, but with Miles, it was—I don't know. Different, I guessed.
"To your house?" I asked.
"Yes," he said. "I want to show you how well I can cook," I felt like he was smiling.
"Or how good you are at takeout," I said laughing.
The reason why I didn't want to go to his house was for an obvious reason. I knew that if I went to his house, he might want to sleep together. And the truth was that I wasn't ready. I knew how close I felt to him, but emotionally, I was not ready. I guessed I was also insecure, because it was the reason that Marcus and I broke up, and I didn't want to break up with Miles for that dumb of a reason.
He laughed, "Yeah, I'll show you how good I am at takeout. Please come, it'll be more fun with you."
"I am pretty fun," I agreed. "And I do like takeout," kind of a lie, I preferred making my own food, but I didn't let Miles know that.
"So..." Miles pushed.
"No," I replied while smiling.
Miles sighed then said: "quit being so stubborn. Just come over."
I hated how much of a pushover I was. "Yeah sure, whatever,"
Miles then proceeded to tell me his address, and at what time should I come over. He wanted me to come right away, and I wasn't ready. The worst part was that Miles knew how long it took to get from my house to his, so if I took a shower, he would know that I didn't leave right away, but I needed a shower. So I finally told him that I needed to shower and get ready before leaving,
He huffed, and said: "You're a terrible listener, E."
I laughed, and then said: "see you soon, Miles,"
He laughed, and then said: "don't take too long,"
"I'll shower fast," I assured him.
