this is a tiny chapter! enjoy something that some people can relate to! (I definitely do)

______________

Abby and Andrew left a little while ago. Abby has a dentist appointment, and I didn't want to be with Andrew alone, so they both left. I end up falling asleep, due to exhaustion and starvation.

"Ms. Marino? Emma?" I hear someone calling my name. I open my eyes to see the nurse staring at me. She's smiling so brightly. "We have a donor!"

"What?" I ask just as excitedly, and making sure that I did not misunderstand her. I stand up to have a clearer view of her eyes.

"We found Mr. Ericsson a perfect match, and the organ should be here soon." She smiles kindly at me.

"Perfect, oh my God, thanks," I say hugging the nurse so tightly. I let a few happy tears slip down my cheeks.

"I'm glad to see you so happy," she says hugging me back.

I never thought that I could love anyone as much as I love Miles. He just knew exactly what to say, when it needed to be said. It's the most cliché thing to say, but Miles truly is perfect. Nobody comes even close to beating him. He was perfect in every way, despite his horrible past (but that something that he couldn't control). Because of Miles' past, he became overly protective of me. Which I adored from him, I loved the fact that he'd get pissed off if anyone was mean to me. What I also liked is the fact that he took the time to listen to the problem before going completely crazy over the situation. Before beating someone up, he'd listen and make sure that it was worth it, I guess...I'm so crazy about him, I can't even formulate my brain to make sense of this situation. I just miss him so much.

I went to work after I went to school in the morning. I had a horrible day at school, even thinking about it pissed me off. On top of that, the thought of going to work was lingering in my head for the whole day. I was so unmotivated to go to work. I dreaded going every day, but today for some reason, it was amplified. I had no interest in seeing customers and being yelled at.

When I first started my shift, I was speaking with Danika about not wanting to work. She told me to suck it up since we were both in the same boat. I laughed, and put my uniform on. Danika was applying her third layer of lipgloss, I had no idea why she tried looking good during a shift. I just tied up my hair and called it a day.

During my shift, it was so busy. The customers did not come in waves, as usual, they were just always coming. There was no time to chat or anything. It was so chaotic that the customers were starting to line up down the aisles.

"I'm sorry, sir, the discount is for another brand," I said for the millionth time. I swore that customers could only hear things they wanted to hear.

"Can't I get the discount for this brand?" He demanded. He wanted the price of the knockoff brand on the name-brand Shreddies.

He was a mid-aged man. The man was standing so close to me, I had no idea why. I kept on slowly backing away, but he kept on creeping closer. He had two kids who were yelling and screaming. He didn't even bother to tell them to pipe down. They just kept on obnoxiously screaming.

"No, I'm sorry," I answered. There were maybe seven or eight customers after him, but he kept on harping at me for thirty cents.

"I want to speak to your manager," he yelled.
