hello! here is the first part of this very boring (fun fact, I hate this chapter) chapter! I hope you enjoy!

The nurse left a while ago. It was a suicide attempt kept on playing in my head. It's obvious. He's hurting again. He feels like our whole fight is his fault when we're both to blame. Instead of speaking about it, he bottled up his feelings, and took it out on himself.

I know that he's going to get a donor, and then he will live a long and happy life...maybe not necessarily with me, but I know that he will live...

New Year's Eve wasn't very important to my family. As a kid the most we would do is stay up until midnight, wish each other a Happy New Year, then go to sleep. And if we were lucky, we would get a little piece of chocolate. The chocolate was either a Kinder Surprise egg or a Toblerone chocolate bar.

Last year, after I moved into my apartment, Abby and Avery wanted to have a big New Year's party, and it never ended up happening. We ended up going to Abby's house instead, and she invited a bunch of people. I thought that once I got my own apartment, I would have wanted to host a big party. But now that I was thinking rationally, I kind of don't want to. Luckily no party has ever been in my house, but I've heard from several different people that the mess is intolerable. Hell, Avery complained for the longest time after throwing that party the night that I met Miles. He complained that he still sometimes found crumbs in between the couch cushions. Therefore, our group of friends decided just to have a little get-together.

The plan was just to have two people over: Avery and Abby. Miles was obviously going to be there too, since he lived with me. Then we would just chill the whole night. We all liked being extremely spontaneous, so not planning anything was right up our alley. Other than the typical movie watching, nothing too extreme was planned.

I decided to wear my pyjama jumpsuit. I knew that if I wore anything else, I would have regretted it because I rather not change before we all go to sleep. My jumpsuit was grey and made of cotton, so it breathed so nicely. Miles laughed when I came out of the bedroom, and said that it looked funny to be wearing summer clothing during the winter. It was heavily ironic since he was Australian and their summers are in the winter (for us) and our winters are in the summer (for them).

Around seven, Avery and Abby showed up. Abby brought chips and this vegan dip and Avery brought beer. I served what I had at home, which were protein bars and breadsticks. Miles made fun of me, but I just told him to shut up. But he also prepared for the party, he went to the store and bought different types of soft drinks. I told him that he was wasting his money since Abby and I both don't drink sugary drinks; and Avery was going to bring beer so that he would be getting completely wasted. But as usual, Miles did not care. He said that we could use them for chasers, but it was not like we were drinking hard liquor anyway. Or so I thought.

Once Avery and Abby came over, we talked for the longest time. I loved how Miles felt so comfortable around both of them, but especially with Avery. I felt like even if he and Avery were left alone, they wouldn't sit in awkward silence, they would actually start up a conversation. I liked that my boyfriend liked my friends.

Miles ended up not even drinking the soft drinks that he bought. He ended up drinking the beer that Avery brought. Luckily Avery brought a twelve-pack, which blew my mind at first. I thought that it would be too much for the four of us, but Avery and Miles ended up having a 'Who Could Drink The Most Competition'. To me, it was obvious who was going to win, but Avery kept on trying to beat Miles, despite being a lightweight. But even looking at Miles and Avery's body types. You could tell that Miles could hold his beer more than Avery's scrawny body.
