"What are we going to go?" He asked tilting his head trying to figure out what was going on. He put on jeans and a white shirt, yet he still looked irresistible. We were going to the aquarium, but it was not like I would have told him that to ruin the surprise.

"Hello, my name is Susan, and I'll be your guide," I said in an accent that I made up. I had no idea if it was an actual accent or not.

"Well, Susan, where will you be guiding me?" Miles said smirkingly. As if I was going to break out of character to flirt back.

"You'll see," I said walking out of the room. He followed closely behind me.

"What birthday is it now?" He asked, but it was not like he didn't know. He told me which birthdays he missed, so he should actually know.

"Eighth," I said as sternly as possible. As I walked, I made sharper turns, and I didn't let my arms swing back and forth like I'd usually do.

"You're walking funny, Susan," Miles said laughing.

"Now let's go to my car," I said while gesturing towards the door.

"Where are we going?"

"You'll see, little Miles," I said. He smirked at me.

I was walking towards the stairs when I noticed that Miles wasn't following me. I turned around abruptly (in character, obviously). I noticed Miles was waiting for the elevator. I sighed, and walked back up the stairs, and stood next to him.

"We're not taking the elevator," I said as sternly as possible.

"Miles is a lazy kid," Miles said laughing.

"Well, Susan likes the stairs," I said.

"No," Miles said looking down at me. "Emma likes the stairs, not Susan."

"Who's Emma?" I asked.

"My girlfriend," Miles said laughing while grabbing my hand as we entered the elevator.

"Stop," I said while jerking my hand away. "You have an apparent 'girlfriend', so technically you're cheating. And you're literally eight, and I'm...twenty-six,"

"Okay," Miles said playing along. "I have a thing for older girls then."

"I'm married," I made up. Miles genuinely looked glum afterward, the smile satisfyingly left his face. Then I added quickly. "Divorcee, I mean. We recently divorced." I said clearing my throat. I had no idea why he would have gotten so offended over a joke.

"That sucks," he said moving closer to me.

"It does," I said sighing. He moved closer to me and pinning me in the corner of the elevator. He looked at me so intensely, and I caught myself barely breathing. His eyes were fastened on me. He put his hands on my waist.

"I—I...Your regards have cost me to lose my words." I stammered, very un-Susan-like

"Well, Susan, I have that effect on women." My face reddened. His forehead was touching mine. I literally needed to think of an argument before he could kiss me.

" Girlfriend," I said hastily. "Emmy or whatever her name is, but the bottom line is that you have one."

Miles moved away from me. "Right, Susan," he was annoyed, I could tell. "It's Emma,"
