"This is nice," Byeol commented as she snuggled against the soft pillows. The two were in the cargo sit of the pickup truck that Yoongi—Byeol came to know—stole from one of his closest friends, Seokjin.

The female even gave him points for effort just to make their mini roadtrip fun and exciting.

As time passed by, the two had gotten even closer than ever. They were literally inseparable though they don't admit it to ech other but they craved each other's presence. It was platonic at first, they only see each other as closed best friends.

There were even times when Yoongi got overprotective of Byeol when random strangers get near her, and she would reply, "I'm a grownass woman, Yoongi. You don't have to act like an overprotective brother or dad."

Nontheless, she still appreciated how the boy cared so much for her. It melted her insides and even had the urge to scoop him up in her hands and keep him in her pocket for safekeeping.

"I know, right?" The boy mumbled in reply, his arms behind his head. They continued to gaze at the twinkling stars, the view breathtakingly beautiful complimented by the chilly air. "I'm relieved you liked it."

"You're full of surprises so I assure you, Yoongi, you don't have to worry because I enjoy all the ideas of hanging out you always propose." Byeol turned her head to the side to give him a smile of appreciation.

At that moment, they already knew their real romantic feelings for each other. But they were still both unaware of the unspoken feelings of each other, which was the cause of a midunderstanding yet they both opted not to talk about it anyway.

But tonight was different.

Byeol couldn't hold it in anymore for curiosity got the best of her. She'd been hiding everything but curiosity was bubbling inside her that she was dying to know what was Yoongi really feeling at this moment.

As they made eye-contact, Byeol let out a laugh.

She found their situation funny because even at that point, she didn't know what they both were.

The boy knitted his eyebrows in confusion. "What's so funny?" He grinned cheekily.

The laughter died down instantly and the girl settled her gaze back at Yoongi. A serious expression overtook her features and she exhaled a breath before popping out the question she'd been urging to ask.

"What are we, Yoongi?" she whispered.

The question, surprisingly, didn't catch the male off-guard. Inside, however, was the opposite of calm. Everything within him was burning, the urge to confess, and the urge to care for her more than he did, the urge to kiss her right there and then, and lastly to make her his.

He gulped, his adam's apple bobbing up and down. He broke the eye-contact and sat upright with Byeol following.

"Hey, answer me!" Byeol chuckled in amusement but deep inside she was dying to know the answer.

"I don't know, Byeol, honestly," was the boy's reply.

The female scooted closer. "Well, if you were to ask me, that would be my answer too, so I won't blame you for that."

Silence hung in the air for a moment, only the sound of swaying leaves and the chirping of crickets could be heard.

"What do you want us to be though?" Byeol asked, almost in an inaudible whisper. Still, Yoongi caught the question.

Placing his palms behind him to support his weight, he looked at the girl, who turned her head slightly to the left to be able to meet his gaze.

The male thought for a thoughtful moment before responding, "I want us to be more than whatever it is that we are now."

Byeol's breath hitched at his response, her heart hammering loudly against her chest and she hoped that Yoongi wouldn't be able to hear it.

The girl swore she felt him lean closer to her, their faces only a few centimeters apart. She waited for him to continue, waited for him to initiate anything.

Anything.

"I want to be more than a friend to you, Byeol-ah." His voice was now an octave lower, his hand hesitatingly going up to cup her cheek. He looked her in the eye for permission.

Byeol didn't answer him through words. Instead, she leaned in, their noses grazing each other before she leaned in more a bit to let their lips touch.

Yoongi did the last move, closing in whatever space that there was left.

Fireworks sparkled within Byeol. She never thought that this, whatever that was, would be good as hell.

Whatever she was feeling inside, she was uncertain if it was love, but if it was, then this kiss was definitely enough to explain it.

Their kiss was soft at first, you could tell that they were still testing out the waters. However, Yoongi grew impatient, causing him to push the girl back down on the cargo while he hovered above her, lips never leaving each other.

Byeol gasped at the kiss, caught off-guard by his sudden boldness. Her action granted Yoongi's tongue entrance to her mouth and soon their tongues were fighting for dominance.

Need and want emerged within the two, pouring out every energy they had to the kiss, as if they had been waiting for this moment in their whole lives.

A knot formed in Byeol's stomach, making her pull away first because of the sudden overwhelm. Yoongi groaned, panting hard for oxygen.

Their eyes locked and Byeol saw something different in the male's orbs. Something she had never seen before. It looked like lust but she was uncertain if it was really sexual, but deep inside, there was something, like possessiveness, the urge to make her his.

If gazes could kill, she would definitely be dead by now.

The dangerous look in his eyes, however, dissipated soon and was replaced by a soft one.

With her hands still intertwined in his locks, she smiled at him softly. "Wow..." she managed to say in awe.

Yoongi cracked a smirk. "Wow indeed." His fingers caressed the girl's waist, while the other threaded through her hair.

Then without any hesitation, he blurted out the words that signalled the next level of their relationship.

"Be mine, Moon Byeol. I want to be yours, and I want you to be mine."
