Present

"Bora!" Taehyung yelled her name, ignoring the looks that were being thrown to them by the crowd. "This woman will be the death of me," he muttered quietly to himself as he continued to run after the lady.

When he finally caught up to her, he turned around and swiftly grabbed the bottle from her hand.

"I told you this has to go," he scolded, his eyebrows furrowed.

The girl rolled her eyes before unclasping from his grip in a strong manner and crossing her arms. "I know. I was actually gonna return it at first but then I saw that bitch's face so—"

"She's your sister!" he cut her off. "Don't call her names."

Bora scoffed. "Don't act like you've done nothing wrong, Taehyung. Remind you, you were constantly stepping down on her because of money. Don't act all almighty now."

As soon those words left her lips, she felt like being hit by a ton of bricks. Her words sank in the man's mind, causing a frown to appear in his face.

She's right.

Taehyung sighed, running a hand through his face. Before turning away, he said, "Get home safely, Bora. See you around."

The woman stayed rooted on the ground, the bottle of wine barely hanging in her hand and it was on the brink of falling. She couldn't bring herself to chase after Taehyung because she felt like she didn't have the right. God, did she feel worse. Now, the only person who ever cared for her was gone and she couldn't bear to think about him never coming back to her again.

Bora felt sick in her stomach and it made her want to bang her head against the wall repeatedly until she bled and lost consciousness.

She wouldn't anyway. She called herself a coward.

Byeol went home with a heavy heart, her hands full of paper bags like her mind. She was quite relieved that Yoongi wasn't home so that he wouldn't be able to see how upset she was. The pain from last night's events were still fresh so burdening him would make things worse.

She was problematic, she thought.

Her relationship with her sister was tainted and even after the few years of them being apart, the pain was still there. Byeol wondered if there will be ever a day wherein her older sister would finally smile at her again. If the cold demeanor she always showed her would crumble and would be replaced by a warm and loving gaze directed towards her.

When the woman realized that she was once again daydreaming and wasting her time, she hastily trudged towards the kitchen and began arranging the groceries she shopped.

While doing so, she thought about Jimin. She hoped that she didn't ruin the relationship between her husband and her friend, otherwise, she would feel like the shittiest person she'd ever encountered. She took note to visit the boy and hoped that he was currently on duty at the convenience store.

Jimin was busy using his phone behind the cashier when she looked at the transparent windows from outside the store.

Nibbling on her lower lip, she hesitatingly went inside, the bell ringing. It immediately caught the boy's attention.

He gave her a warm smile that seemed to be forced but she didn't notice. Looking around, she was relieved that it was only her in the store so she approached the male, looking elsewhere but his eyes.

"My eyes are up here." He flashed her an eye smile.

Byeol cleared her throat. "I know. You don't have to tell me."

"Are you here to buy something?" Jimin pocketed his phone, his attention now fully on Byeol.

"No, actually," she admitted. "Yesterday...was a bit awkward, don't you think?"

The male's lips twitched slightly, which luckily came unnoticed to the girl. "Yeah, it was. I was a bit shocked but I already had my theory."

"You knew?" Byeol's eyes widened.

"Yes, I know you two are married," he blurted. "I mean, you told me your surname and it was the same with Yoongi hyung's. Also, he recently mentioned that he was married so... I managed to put two and two together."

Jimin began to tap his feet on the floor to lessen the awkwardness in the air. The girl swallowed before taking another step nearer to him.

"I'm sorry for not telling you. We're friends and I kept that from you. Are we good?" She finally gathered her courage to meet his eyes.

The man smirked playfully. "With the amount of secrets you've shared already, leaving this one out is no big deal, promise. We're good." His eyes turned into crescents.

Byeol smiled, relieved about what he said but at the same time, she felt that aching pain in her chest again.
