It had been a month and the couple had visited New Orleans again right after school began for Michelle. Their trip was fun like always and they enjoyed spending time with Kaleb and Brielle. The more time they spent with the kids the harder it was to leave them and get back on a plane each time. In another month they would be able to file the paperwork to begin the adoption process. Michelle was excited for the coming weekend because she and Beyoncé would be celebrating one glorious year of being together. Although their actual anniversary was Thursday they decided to wait until the weekend to celebrate. Michell had chosen beautiful gifts for Beyoncé and she had no doubt that Beyoncé had some amazing gifts for her as well.
On the actual day of their anniversary Michelle awoke to the smell of breakfast. She quickly showered and laid out her outfit for work before she headed to the kitchen where her wonderful girlfriend was making her breakfast. Beyoncé had made blueberry pancakes, bacon, eggs and cut up some fruit. Michelle approached Beyoncé from behind while she was at the stove and kissed her neck while hugging her from the back.
"Good Morning, my Love, Happy One Year. I love you."
"Good Morning, Love. Happy One Year to you as well. I love you to the moon and back. Have a seat breakfast is almost done."
"Okay, I have something for you. I'll put it on the table."
"Okay." Beyoncé replied while making their plates.
She sat the plates on the table and pulled Michelle to stand up. She looked into the eyes of the woman she had fallen head over heels in love with. Michelle was Beyoncé's missing piece and Beyoncé was the same for Michelle. They kissed passionately forgetting about their food momentarily. Beyoncé pulled back so as to not get too heated because she knew that Michelle had to go to work. If she wasn't working today, she'd be on the counter with her legs spread and Beyoncé would be enjoying a different kind of breakfast. Leading Michelle back to her chair Beyoncé pulled it out and laid her napkin in her lap. Over breakfast the two women discussed many topics, their main topic of discussion was the kids. Neither could believe how fast they had bonded with Kaleb and Brielle and pretty soon they would be their children. Even though Michelle wouldn't be adopting them yet, Beyoncé knew she wasn't going anywhere it would only be a matter of time before they got married. She actually had already started thinking about how she would propose to Michelle.
Looking down at the table Beyoncé noted a note next to her plate. Michelle's notes would always hold a special place in Beyoncé's heart. It was how their relationship began. She always communicated her thoughts and emotions through words so effortlessly. She picked up the blue piece of paper and eyed Michelle suspiciously before opening it. The note read:
Beyoncé Giselle Knowles,
I love you. This year with you has been one of the most amazing times in my life. Each day I find something new that makes me fall more in love with you. All the stars in the sky couldn't begin to encompass my love for you. You are strong, kind, loving, intelligent, patient and virtuous. There are so many more attributes that I can name but that would take up this little piece of paper. Everyday you show me your love in so many different ways. I love the way you love me. I love the way you make love to me. I just love you. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you. When you're done reading this look at me.
Love,
Tenitra
Beyoncé had tears in her eyes after reading that and she didn't know what to say. She just let her tears fall as she looked up at Michelle who was holding a ring in her hand. Michelle stood up and walked over to Beyoncé pulling her into her arms. She placed her forehead on Beyoncé's and kissed her. Michelle pulled away to talk.
