"Stop it! Please Stop It! I haven't done anything! I swear I won't do anything just please stop!" Your screams wear a haunting echo traveling throughout the halls where soldiers stared blankly at the ground. The only lighting that was shown came from the end of the hall where your screams were. A soldier closed his hands shaking from the overcoming feeling of being powerless.

As much as he wanted to stop the howling screams he couldn't make himself move. There was more fear of his life meeting the same ravenous pain.

"Just make it stop."

The soldier who was guarding on the opposite side of the entrance only watched from the corner of his eye as his partner's eyes shook.

"Make her stop." He covered his ears with his hands kneeling to the ground to hide his head between his legs. "Just kill her already."

The soldier beside him lowered his head to shadow his expression.
"It's been over a week, I haven't eaten or slept ever since they've brought her in. What do they want from her? How is she still alive? Normally people would die in the first week."

The snot from his nose streamed down to his white jeans while his tears dripped down on the leather of his shoes. It was the only small sound he was willing to listen to rather than the howling screams that will haunt him to his days of rest. "If she was a monster wouldn't she have turned by now? Why doesn't she just turn into one?"

The echoing of shoes caused him to look up from between his legs. His eyes elevated up seeing a brown long coat until he saw a face that caused him to have a silent mind. "You have been relieved of duty." The man spoke to both soldiers guarding the entrance of the hall.

The soldier stood up slamming the side of his fist over his heart with his other hand behind his back.
"Sir!" He responded as the man entered the hall his eyes were focused on the light at the end.

The solider stopped to look at his shivering hand that was balled into a fist.

"I don't even know what we are doing anymore." They gave their heart in the hopes of keeping humanity safe but what they were doing to a girl was barbaric. There was nothing humane about it.

"Just as long as she can heal we can continue all night right?" Sannes and Ralph asked Gerald.

"As far as we know yes, this would have gone easier if it were Annie. But we have to make sure this girl isn't an enemy to humanity. You two are in charge in assuring she thinks twice before ever wanting to turn against us."

Holding his hand out to receive and the other to exchange coins, Ralph handed him a jar of fingernails that were pure silver.
Sannes accepted the coins that would be divided between them to keep silent.

Ralph gritted his teeth shutting his eyes before finding the words to use. "Sir Gerald, the girl."

Gerald hummed tilting his head toward Ralph. "Hm? What of her?"

Ralph looked away feeling nothing more but disgust toward himself for the things he has committed. "She hasn't healed from the wounds."

Geralds's eyes reflected toward your slim frame that was seated onto a chair. Your wrists were tightly strapped on the handles while your ankles were strapped against the legs of the chair. The nail bed was exposed on all 10 of your fingers and all 8 of your toes.

They had cut your smaller toe and the big toe from your left leg showing only the bone that was centered between the muscle and skin.
Every time a small draft entered the room you could feel the air sting your wounds making you remember just how not long ago this wasn't happening.
