She did know what to think after two weeks. Jisu had been following her everywhere, and every time Raven tried to talk to her, she was gone. She didn't like it anymore. She really didn't. It started to become scary. She was still a crazy fast and strong vampire after all. She was there when Raven walked to her lessons – shouldn't she be by her own lessons? – she was there when Raven was with Amara, she was there when Raven visited the house Varitan managed to rent. She was everywhere.
'I see your shadow has returned.', Naexi said as Raven sat down next to her.
Raven wiped her head around and she was just in time to see Jisu disappearing out of the doorway. Naexi turned out to be a very clever and nice girl in Raven's class. It also turned out that more than three fourth of the class was Jade's friend, except for the elves in that class, with Naexi being one of them. She didn't give up on trying to be Raven's "friend". Naexi was a... very straightforward girl. Her long, white hair that reached her waist always was in a low tail. Naexi was just like Syvis. Very blunt, and stern at first sight, but very nice once you get to know her.
'You already won my side by fighting with that witch.', Naexi had said once they started to get to know each other, and by witch obviously referring to Jade.
'I'm wondering why she follows you so often...', Naexi had said out loud.
'If I knew, I'd tell you...', Raven sighed. 'I don't really like the fact that she's following me...',
'I can imagine.', Naexi nodded. 'It's not very pleasant if a hunter is tailing you as their prey.', Raven glanced at Naexi.
'Please don't say stuff like that...', she mumbled. Naexi just smiled and focused on the essay in front of her.
They got a lovely fifteen-page long essay about the strengths and weaknesses of their demon. They also had to write down the history of demons, where their demon originated from and if they are loyal or not. Raven was often for hours in the library together with Amara – who was a very teacher. Half of the essays Raven made came from Amara's knowledge.
Raven rested her head on top of her hand as she scribbled on the paper. Blaise was laying on the table, sleeping as always.
As Raven continued writing her essay, she heard someone call out to her.
'Raven...?', the voice sounded weak and far away. Raven looked up from the paper and looked around the class if someone was looking at her. But no, everyone was focused on their essays. It was completely silent in the class. 'Raven, please respond.', the voice sounded a little clearer, but there was no way she could make out the voice. Blaise had risen up, sensing something was not right. Hycis, Naexi's demon, got up and started growling. 'Raven... Raven please!', Raven dropped her feather and looked around again.
'Miss Herlee, could you please control your demon?', Professor Forestar asked.
'I don't know what's going on with him.', Naexi responded. 'He never acts this way unless there's something- Raven?',
Raven had jumped up, Blaise on her shoulder, and walked toward the door.'Don't you hear that?', Raven asked, not caring if she disturbed the lesson. The voice got cleared. It was clear that this person was screaming from her, but from extremely far away, she could almost make out the voice. It was a male's voice.
'Raven!',
'Hear what?', Now everyone was looking at Raven.
'Someone's calling my name.',
'Nobody is calling your name, Miss Ashfurry.', Professor Forestar said. 'Could you please take a seat?', Raven didn't respond.
'Raven, please!',
