'Y'know, I can understand that you thought I was a creep.',
Raven had been released from the healing wing and was now keeping up on her homework. Even though the wound got healed with magic, there was still a scar left that would probably never really fade.
It was thought to be the last warm day of the month before Autumn would begin, so they sat outside, like the many other students had decided. Raven thought that she looked more like a vampire then Jisu. Jisu sat in the sun, legs crossed and hands behind her as she enjoyed the bright sun, while Raven sat underneath the shadow of a tree, doing homework. In her defense, the paper looked extremely bright in the sun.
Raven looked up from her potion essay – "describe the many functions of the Tonic of the Serpent" – to face Jisu.
'What do you mean?', asked Raven, dipping the feather in some ink. Blaise had taken their place next to Jisu in the grass, laying on his back so he could bathe in the warmth like that.
Jisu turned her head toward Raven, tucking some hard behind her ear.
'I got stalked by a vampire as well when I was a witch. But in my case, it turned out to be a bitch-ass, unfortunately enough.', Raven stared at her, the ink dripping into the grass.
'You were a witch?',
Jisu turned with her hand around her head, flipping her blue hair back.
'A warrior.', she said proudly. 'I had a salamander as well. An ice salamander. My mother gifted it to me.', Raven stared in awe at Jisu.
'Really?', she gaped. 'Your mother must've been so nice.', Jisu smiled widely, nodding quickly.
'The nicest.', she agreed. Her smiled faded, however, as she looked away from her. 'She... was the nicest.', Raven blinked at her.
'What happened to her?', Jisu sighed, pulling her legs in to sit cross-legged. She gazed into nothingness for a second.
'My father got into a fight with a vampire.', Jisu started. 'He was a vampire without clan. The vampire wanted to seek shelter for the sun in our inn, but because she looked rabid and she had no clan, we didn't let her in. She got mad, extremely mad. At first, we managed to keep her out, with some help of our guests. But then... she set the inn on fire.',
Raven's eyes widened.
'The audacity!', Raven basically screamed. 'Oh my god- are you okay?',
Jisu smiled.
'Now I am. Anyway, the fire killed my mother, and badly injured my father. She bit me as "revenge" for him.', Jisu sighed, turning to look at Raven. 'How life can turn out, aye?', She snickered, running a hand through her hair.
Raven didn't think this was something to laugh about.
'And your father? Did he survive?', Jisu nodded.
'He lives in South valley. I visit him from time to time when I'm not with my clan or here.',
'Can't you visit him when you're with you clan?', Raven asked. Jisu shook her head vigorously.
'My clan thinks it's stupid to visit your family. They will eventually die anyway, so better not get attached to them.', Raven's eyes widened.
'Well, that's a little bit rude.', she exclaimed. 'You can decide for yourself, can't you?', Jisu nodded slowly, hesitation written all over her face.
'We are a clan though... we have rules and other shit we have to follow.', Jisu let go of her legs and stretched them out to lay down in the grass, her arms behind her head. 'Elijah will snap my neck if he finds out I disobeyed the clan leader.',
