Good Boy~

I woke up to the sound of my alarm blaring at me. The time read 6:15 am. I hit the snooze button and stretch myself awake.

Time for school. I thought to myself. I attend New York University. I am in the Art + Education program. I've always wanted to be an art teacher. 

I slip out of bed and start my morning routine. I prepared my clothes the night before so I have some spare time. I take a quick shower, brush my teeth, and get dressed. I prepare myself a bowl of cereal and after quickly eating, I head out the door. 

Ugh Alex is gonna kill me if I'm late again. 

Alex Sanchez. My best friend since middle school. We don't have much in common, but for some reason we just...clicked. We've stuck together ever since we met and I know that I can always rely on him for help. Everyday before school, we meet at the coffee shop near our school and head to campus together. He's in Journalism. 

I enter the coffee shop and spot a tall guy with maroon hair. 

There he is. 

"Hey man! I've been waiting for HOURS for you to get here. I almost walked to school by myself!" 

"It was only like 10 minutes Alex, chill out. Did you order our drinks?"

"Yup! An iced mocha macchiato for you and a black coffee for me hehe."

"Dude what? You hate black coffee."

"Yeah, but drinking black coffee will toughen me up, and the chicks always dig a tough guy."

"Right..." the sarcasm is very evident in my reply. 

"Order for Alejandro!" The barista calls out.

Alex gets up and grabs our drinks.

"Alejandro??" I question as he hands me my order.

"I wanted to make it evident to the ladies that I was latino. So I went with the name my whole family calls me. Girls love a foreign man."

"Foreign? You were born here." I point out.

"The girls don't need to know that!"

I laugh at my friend and we finish up our drinks. We head to campus and split up, going to our respective classes. 

This is how my days usually go. And I'm happy with it! I go to a great school, I have an awesome best friend. I couldn't be happier.....right? 

Right.  I convince myself. 

{Here is the first chapter of "Good Boy" published! I'm really excited about this story! Something I like doing is putting music at the top of my chapters. I usually listen to music while reading/writing stories so that's why lol. Anyways, what do you guys think so far? I'm not sure how the story is going to end, yet, but it is gonna be a happy ending so don't worry lol. Stay tuned for chapter 2!}
