"I can't believe he stole my fucking drink." I say to myself as I walk through an empty hallway in the hospital. "Who has the nerve to do that? Sure, I mean, It's something I would probably do, but I would at least give it back!" I stop walking and scream (as quietly) as I can. I shake my IV pole in frustration just thinking about it. I look around, realizing I am no where near my room. "And now that jerk made me lost." I groan and turn around. I stop when I notice someone else, looking equally as lost. She has shoulder length dark brown hair and circular glasses that are a bit big for her face. She notices me too and I realize it's too late to pretend that I'm doing something. So, I guess now I have to help her. She approaches me, with a gift bag in her hand.

"Do you know what floor this is? The elevator was crowded, so I didn't notice what floor I got off on."

"This is the third floor." I reply.

"Oh, well then I got lucky." She says, more like to herself. I shift awkwardly on my feet, hoping she would leave soon.

"Do you know which way rooms 321-334 are?" She asks. I mentally groan in frustration.

"Yeah, that's actually where my room is." Thankfully.

She nods her head, moving slightly to the side, making it clear she wants me to lead the way. I smile at her, leading the way.

-

"Do you have a cold?" she asks as we make our way back to my room "Because I can't miss school right now, my mom wants at least one of her children to be getting an education at the moment."

"I don't have anything contagious." I say, kind of cutting her off before she can say anything else.

"Ah, well, that's good."

"Not really." I think to myself.

"Are you visiting your mom, then?" I ask. I felt I was being too rude to her. We turn a corner and she shakes her head.

"I'm here visiting my brother. He was being stupid and ran into a street, getting hit by a car."

"Oh- I'm sorry."

"Don't be. It was his fault." She says. I look at her through the corner of my eye. Although her tone doesn't show it, she's clearly worried.

"Here we are." I say, stopping in front of my room. She smiles at me. I smile back. Since she doesn't know why I'm here, her smile isn't induced by sympathy, it was genuine for simply just helping her.

"I'm Gowoon, by the way. Thank you for your help." She says bowing to me. I chuckle.

"Do I really make it obvious I'm older than you?" I ask. She smiles.

"No, you look young. I was just trying to be polite." She says with a sweeter tone than before. I smile again.

"I like you. I'll remember your name Gowoon." I say before turning to open my door. Before entering my room, I turn back to her. She's surprisingly still there.

"I'm Yusoi."

-

I flip through the channels, lazily. The sun is now gone and the moon replaces it. I sigh and turn off the tv. I close my eyes when I feel my stomach rumble. I look around my room, noticing the tray of food is gone. "I regret not eating it, now." I say. I get up once more, wanting to go to the cafeteria again to get something to eat.

"Yeah yeah, just get home safe, okay? Tell mom I'm doing fine."

I close my door and turn to see who's talking. My eyes widen. It's drink thief! I was about to say something when I saw Gowoon emerge from the room. So that's her brother? I scoff. Figures he would be dumb enough to run into the street.

"You didn't even eat any of the food that mom made for you." She says, shaking the gift bag lightly. He sighs.

"I already ate." He said, flicking her forehead lightly. She rubs it and smacks his arm.

"Hey! I'm injured here!"

"Not injured enough apparently!" She snaps back. I laugh, but I guess it wasn't as quiet as I intended. They both turn to my direction. My smile falls. He looks at me with a cocky look once more. I glare out of habit.

"Oh, hey Yusoi." Gowoon says. I shift my eyes to look at her and I smile.

"Hey Gowoon. Is this your idiot bother?" I ask, making my way over to them.

He scoffs and rolls his eyes. She hums.

"Yeah, he looks the part, doesn't he?" She says, shaking her head at him.

"Hey!" He says, looking offended. I smile.

"Yeah, he does."

He looks back at me and rolls his eyes.

"Look who's talking. You couldn't even get the vending machine to work."

"It would have eventually." I snap back "Besides, you stole my drink."

He smiles in satisfaction, crossing his arms across his chest.

"I did, didn't I." He said, looking as though he was reminiscing on the moment. Gowoon scowls.

"Wow, I didn't know you could be so heartless Seojun."

Seojun. So that's his name.

"Here." Gowoon says, turning to me. She holds the gift bag infront of me. "Since he already ate and took something of yours, have this. On his behalf." She says, shooting him a glare.

"Hey! Mom made that for me!" He protests.

"And you rejected it!" She snaps back. I smile, taking the bag from her.

"I will gladly accept." I say. She smiles.

"Enjoy." She says, smiling at me. She steps forward to leave, but before she does, she turns to her brother and shakes her head disapprovingly. She waves to me and finally turns back to leave. I wave back to her, watching as she walks away. I turn back to Seojun, smiling.

"She's nice." I say, turning around to go back to my room.

I feel a hand grab my shoulder, spinning me around. He looks me in my eyes.

"Give me my food." He says, letting go of my shoulder and reaching for the bag. I snatch it away, causing him to fall forward a little from the sudden motion.

"Hey!" He says. He stands up straight, reaching for the bag again, but I take it away once more. He groans.

"Hey, give it back to me now."

I tap my finger on my chin, looking as though I was thinking about it. He scoffs and pokes his tongue in the side of his cheek.

"How about... no?" I say, waving the bag in front of him. His eyes follow it. He reaches out to snatch it, but I take it away. He manages to stop himself from falling. I laugh at him, reaching for my door. I open it.

"Thanks for the meal, I was actually feeling a little hungry." I step into my room. He looks at me.

"You little-"

I close the door before he could finish his sentence. I smile to myself, feeling as though I had been avenged.
