"Even though my brother isn't going to be here anymore, I'm still going to come visit you." Gowoon says as she gives me a hug.

"I would like that." I say, letting go of from the hug.

She looks at me and smiles. I turn to her mom.

"I'm sorry I couldn't give you back your dish. My nurse said I had to go on a strict diet and took it away."

"That's okay. Now I know, and when Gowoon comes to visit, I'll have something safe prepared." She says, reaching over to give my shoulder a squeeze.

I smile in return. She looks away from me, removing her hand from my shoulder, and looks past me.

"Ah, are you ready?" She asks.

I turn to see Seojun walking towards us. He stops next to me and smiles at his family.

"Yeah, I'm ready." He says to them.

The two smile as Seojun walks over to his mom; she links her arm with his.

"Bye Gowoon, bye Mrs. Han."

They turn to wave to me.

"What? No goodbye for me?" Seojun says with an offended look on his face.

I roll my eyes and hand him a paper bag that one of the nurses gave me. He looks at me weirdly and hesitantly takes the bag from my hands.

"What's this?" He says as he opens the bag.

"It isn't much, but you should be happy I even got you anything." I say as he looks inside.

I notice a small smile creep onto his face. He laughs to himself.

"What is it?" Gowoon asks as she tries to look into the bag.

Seojun closes the bag, scowling at her. She glares in return.

"It's none of your business." He says to her.

"Hey, be nice." His mom says.

I wave to them all one last time before they get into the elevator.

-

I stand next to Suho in the lobby as we wait for Jugyeong. The silence was indeed, awkward. I kept looking back and forth between the ground and the people passing by. My eyes land on the clock.

"Shouldn't she be out of school already?" I ask, hoping he would answer.

He hums. I frown. He sure knows how to keep a conversation going. I go back to mindlessly looking around when the elevator dings open, a girl panting to be seen. I smile at Jugyeong. She walks over to Suho and I, clearly out of breath.

"Hi." She manages to say.

I notice Suho smiling at her.

"Hi." I say back. "You're late."

She frowns at me.

"Not that late." She says.

"You're pretty late." Suho says to her.

She looks at him and pouts.

"Sorry." She says while she begins to grab some of his things.

"I got it."

"You're walking with a crutch; just let me help you." She says as though she's his mother.

He smiles and hands her a bag. She slings it across her shoulder and turns to me.

"I'll be back later, okay?" She says.

"Later? So, tomorrow?" I say teasingly.

She glares at me and pushes the elevator button.

"You'll eat your words when I see you later." She says as Suho and her step into the elevator.

"I bet I won't." I say as the elevator door closes.

I feel my smile slowly fall. I sigh as I look back at the floor. I guess I didn't notice at the time, but I felt better when everyone was here. Now they're gone; my happiness went with them I suppose. I sadly walk away from the elevator and start to head back towards my room. I glance upwards and see Haeun. I stop walking.

"Haeun."

She looks up from her clipboard and sees me. Her expression doesn't change, like she isn't particularly happy to see me. This makes me feel worse.

"Hi Yusoi." She says as she tries to move along.

"I'm sorry about what I said." I say quickly, trying to get it out before she can leave.

She stops walking once more and looks at me.

"What for?" She asks as though she had already forgotten.

I frown.

"For yelling at you. I wasn't having a great day and I lashed out on you; I'm sorry."

She smiles sadly and hesitates to walk closer to me.

"It's alright. I guess I was getting too attached and I'm sorry for invading your space and acting like someone I-" She stops herself. "How's Jisoo?" She asks, trying to change the subject.

I give her a questioning look.

"Alright, I guess."

"That's good. I really should be going, maybe we'll talk later, okay?" She says, not really asks.

By the time the last part of the sentence came out of her mouth, she was already walking away.

"Sure." I say.

She smiles quickly before leaving. I watch her as she walks away, probably feeling even worse than before.
