Flashback

"Okay, okay," Jugyeong takes a lick of the ice cream that is melting off of her hand. She smacks her lips together and acquires a pondering look on her face. I stare at her, waiting for her to finish the question. I roll my eyes and begin to eat some of my own ice cream. "Oh," She gasps. "Okay, would you rather have snakes instead of toes or frog legs for fingers?" She asks excitedly.

I take in her question, trying to consider all of the variables.

"Are the frog legs cooked?" I ask.

She goes back to having a pondering expression. She shakes her head and licks her ice cream.

"No, they're still alive."

"Gross." I mumble.

She giggles.

"Tell me!" She says, shoving my shoulder with her ice cream covered hand. I gasp and look at the new stain on my shirt. I glare at her.

"I'll have snakes for toes so they can bite you." I say, trying to rub off the stain, but only making it worse.

"You're not supposed to use them for evil." She mumbles, going back to her ice cream.

-

"Hey guys." My dad says as Jugyeong and I walk into my house.

"Hi dad." I say with a smile.

He looks up from the newspaper he was reading and smiles back.

"How was the park?" He asks.

"The same." I say with a bored tone.

He hums.

Jugyeong and I turn to go down the hall to my bedroom.

"Freeze." He says.

We both stop and back up.

"Where did that come from?" He asks, pointing to the sleeve of my shirt.

"She couldn't keep her grungy hands off of me."

"Grungy?" She exclaims, insulted.

I stick my tongue out at her and she does the same back to me.

"Alright, alright, just go change and bring it back out to me." He says.

I nod my head and Jugyeong and I continue making our way to my room. I close the door behind me, Jugyeong flops down on my bed almost instantly.

"Should I stay for dinner?" She asks.

I chuckle as I sift through my bag of clothes, trying to find a new shirt.

"Probably not the best idea; I'll ask him if we can go back to your house." I say.

She hums in response. I pull out a new shirt to wear from the bag.

"Close your eyes." I say, already reaching for the bottom of my shirt.

Jugyeong closes her eyes and sighs. I put on the new shirt and smile.

"Don't get this one messy." I say.

She removes her hands from her eyes as I make my way back to my door.

"I already told you I was sorry!" She says as I walk out back to my dad.

I set the shirt on the table and notice what he was doing: looking for yet, another job. I sigh as I see multiple circles drawn on possible interests.

"Another one?" I ask.

He nods his head.

"Afraid so." He sighs. "Thank you." He says, grabbing the shirt and kissing the top of my head.
