Seojun's POV
"Seojun." I hear a distant voice say.
I groan and turn over in my bed, hoping I was just hearing things.
"Hey, Han Seojun." The voice said, much louder this time.
I open my eyes, frustrated. I sit up and look over at Suho. I roll my eyes.
"What? Couldn't you tell I was sleeping."
He ignores my comment.
"I need a wheelchair."
I look around the room.
"Where did yours go?"
"If I knew, then I would ask the nurse."
"You could still ask the nurse anyways." I say matter-of-factly.
He sits there, not amused. I sigh and stand up, grabbing my IV pole.
"I wish you luck." I say before heading towards the door.
"Hey, Han Seojun!" He yells after me.
I smile, reaching for the door handle, when I glance over to notice a drink sitting on the table.
"What's this?" I mumble to myself.
"What are you doing?" Suho asks.
I motion for him to be quiet. I grab the drink, taking the sticky note off of the lid.
Sorry for what I said earlier; I didn't realize how harsh I sounded. I remembered what drink you got, so you better like it! I'll tell Jugyeong you rejected my apology, otherwise.
I feel a smile creep onto my face, but I quickly hide it. I clear my throat and crumple up the note. I throw it in the trash can and set the drink back down on the table.
"Have fun being in bed all day." I say as I leave the room.
"Hey! Han Seojun!"
-
"Can you guys be quiet?" I scold my friends.
They came to visit me. All of them. At the same time. Suho looked just as bothered.
"Hey, we came all the way here to see if you're alright and you want us to leave already?"
"You're being annoying, Cho Rong"
"Ah! How could you say that! I thought we were best buds; I can't believe this!" Cho Rong says, being overdramatic.
I roll my eyes. I look over at Suho, seeing him shift uncomfortably in his bed. I notice a huge lump next to him too. Just then, a foot with a pink sock peaks out from under the cover. We all look at him.
"Wow, you have such small and dainty feet." Taehoon coos.
He was about to touch the foot when Suho stopped him.
"Alright, I think we should leave Suho alone." I say, catching on to what's happening.
I get up, ready to leave the room. After some convincing, the others decided to leave with me. I give Suho one last glance before walking out with the others.
-
"Hey, Jugyeong, you have something in your hair." I say to Jugyeong before she leaves.
She tries to tug on the button in her hair, wincing at the pain. I smile to myself, but remember how she could have gotten the button in her hair. She gives up on it since it wasn't moving. She looks at me and then my cast.
"Hey, I haven't gotten to sign it yet!" She says, walking over to me.
"You don't need to-"
She grabs a marker and then my arm.
"Don't write anything weird." I mumble.
I watch as she smiles while writing her message on my cast.
"Done!" She says while capping the marker.
I look at it. "Tiger energy boost! Rawr!" I feel my cheeks heat up. I look back at her as she begins to walk away, but she turns around, rawring in my face. I slightly smile as she does it twice before waving and walking away.
My smile falls as I watch her leave. I look back at my cast, re-reading the message, feeling sadder each time I look at it. I sigh and walk over to sit down. After a few seconds, I hear someone go over to the vending machine. They take pauses between each action they were doing, but I didn't care. As much as I hated to think about it, Jugyeong is with Suho. I was lost in my thoughts when I saw a bright red can in front of my face. I look at it and then at the person.
It was the girl who told me Jugyeong wouldn't date anyone like me. Yusoi, I think. Could she be right? I hope not. I push away her hand.
"I don't want it." I say with the little energy I had.
She puts the can in front of my face again. I push it away, not saying anything this time. I thought she would give up and leave, but she didn't. She grabbed my hand and put the drink in it. I sigh, frustrated and annoyed. Can she not take a hint?
"Hey-"
"There's no point in you sitting here being upset, that's not going to change anything. Just focus on the nice gesture. Eventually, you'll become happy." She says.
Where have I heard that before? "Eventually you'll become happy." She smiles softly before walking away. That smile... those words... I've heard and seen it before.
