The car ride was silent but his right hand held onto my left, making me feel so at ease with everything around me. I honestly had nothing but questions when it came to Noah. Where were we going? Was this a date? Were we getting back together? What happened between him and Dixie? How much happened between him and Dixie?
"Are you ready?" He asked, raising our hands to his lips and softly kissing the back of mine. The car turned the corner and all I saw was road and I couldn't have been anymore confused.
"Wow, I'm impressed, how'd you know this was my favourite road in LA?" I asked, turning to look at him. Watching as he tried to stop himself from laughing, I smiled, enjoying the view from the passenger side.
"Very funny." He replied. "But what sarcastic remark can you find to say about that?" Pointing towards the windshield, I followed his finger and I just couldn't...think. "Going away can be...um...stressful, so I um..." Smiling as Noah began to stutter, I pulled my hand away from his and began opening the car door.
"Noah, just say you wanted to get me alone." Stepping out of the car, leaving a frazzled Noah behind, I made my way towards the door.
"The boys and I bought it," He explained, coming up behind me. "when things get a little too much, we come out here and just relax a bit."
The cabin was small, nothing too crazy but the feeling it created made it so much more than just a cabin. It was homey, it was warm and it was inviting. No sounds of traffic, no camera flashes and certainly no worries about filming and uploading.
"Why have you guys never told me about this place?" I asked, walking further into the cabin.
"It's in the rules." He explained, pointing to a whiteboard placed just behind the front door.
1. Clean before leaving
2. Lock up before leaving
3. To preserve its relaxing state, refrain from telling anyone about this place
"Well you kinda broke rule 3."
"With permission." Placing my bag down, he walked over to me, placing his hands on my waist. "This place can be as much yours as it is mine, Regs. You don't need to fly to another country to get away from it all; you can come here...with or without me."
"Noah," I whispered, placing my left hand on his right cheek before continuing. "it's not up to me. My parents want me to go."
"You've been independent your whole life, why change that now? I don't really understand it but I'll say that I do to make it easier for you but just know that I'm going to be in LA missing the shit out of you and when you come back, I want to be the first face you see."
"That," I said, pulling his face closer to mine. "I can promise." Pressing my lips against his, I wanted to live in this moment forever. It was one you only dream about and it was actually happening to me.
His hands felt cold against my skin as they slipped underneath my shirt, but as he broke the kiss to fully remove it, I missed the cold feeling. Watching as he pulled the back of his shirt over his hand, I placed my hands on his chest, sliding them down towards the button of his jeans. Taking my hand in his, he led me towards the bedroom, not bothering to close the door behind us, I sat him down on the edge of the bed as I stepped in between his legs, wrapping my arms around his neck. His hands fiddled with the button on my jeans, sliding them off before I pushed him back and climbed on top of him. The bed had been made up and looked so nice but I knew once we were done, it was going to look like a fucking mess.
