The music filled the house and everyone seemed to be having a good time, especially Bryce. He had been standing in the middle of a group of people for hours now and I just knew he was currently involved in a shotgun competition. I knew he'd have trouble walking later on and would probably have to set up a bed in the bathroom when the party was over but as long as the words 'I had a great time' come out of his mouth tomorrow morning, that's all that matters.
"My girl." Feeling a pair of arms wrap around my waist, I just knew Tayler was probably feeling good too. "How are you doing?"
"I'm good." I replied, placing my arms over top of Tayler's. "I feel like I haven't seen you for hours."
"Yeah, I had to make sure Bryce's surprise was still in action." Rolling my eyes at the thought of strippers being in my house, I removed myself from Tayler's grip.
"I'm going to grab another drink." It's not that I didn't want to be apart of the situation, I just knew it would upset Addison and honestly, I just wasn't interested in seeing one of my best friend's get a lap dance from however many strippers Tayler ordered. Heading into the kitchen, I reached for one of the coolers I placed in there, when I heard a voice from behind me.
"Toss me a water?" Grabbing both the cooler and the water, I turned around and saw Noah sitting on the counter.
"Well look who it is." I said, tossing the bottle in his direction and leaning my back against the fridge. "Where've you been all night?"
"You know...here, there...everywhere." He replied, wiggling his eyebrows. "What about you? I mean, the host of the party hasn't even been seen tonight."
"Well that just means I'm doing a good job, no?"
"I don't think that's how it works." He said, letting out a laugh. "Honestly, I'm surprised you even allowed this to happen here. I mean, sure, you have us over all the time but all of them," He said, referring to the numerous of people I didn't actually know. "plus the surprise Tayler has in store...it seems like a lot."
"Well with my parents out of the country for most of the year, it seemed like the only place we could do it. It is pretty wild in here though..."
"I think 'pretty wild' is an understatement."
"Come here." I said, grabbing Noah's wrist in my hand, pulling him off the counter and out of the kitchen.
Pushing past the groups of people, we headed to the second floor of my house and I took him to the one place I knew no one would even think about going.
"I didn't know there was a balcony here." Noah said, once he fully stepped onto it.
"No one really does...it's kind of like a little hideout." Stepping onto the side of the balcony, I climbed up to the slightly slanted roof and took a seat.
"So this is where you are when we're all looking for you during parties." Noah clocked, sitting down next to me.
"Guilty as charged." The view was beyond spectacular; it was pretty much the whole reason I convinced my parents to buy the house. I knew the house itself was too big for me to stay in alone, with my parents traveling the world most of the year but with this view...I'll go through the lonely nights.
"This is..."
"Breathtaking." I said, finishing Noah's sentence by mistake.
"Yeah..." Looking over at him, his eyes were fixated on me and I couldn't help but get a little bit nervous. Even in the dark, his eyes were the brightest things I'd ever seen. His fingers traced mine as my hand rested on the roof, trying to keep me steady and all I could think about was how we were the only two people here. The music was gone, the party was over and Noah and I were alone.
There it was. The moment. The moment I had been waiting to have with someone for years now. The moment where everything from here on out changes. The moment where my interest in Noah turns to feelings for Noah.
Watching as Noah leaned in slowly, I couldn't believe it was actually happening. Not once did I think Noah would ever even try anything but here he was...inches from my face, his lips brushing against mine and just as his hand reached my cheek, pulling me slightly towards him...
