"You really should just talk to her." I said, watching Bryce stare at Addison for the hundredth time.
"Regs, she won't even look at me. I wouldn't even get a word in."
"She's doing that for me." I explained as Bryce's eyes turned from her and towards me. "She didn't want to make this weekend about anything other than me but honestly...I think we're kind of past that."
"What are you talking about?"
"Oh come on, Bryce, I'm not stupid. There's something going on and no one's telling me about it. I know Tayler well enough to know that right now, he's talking to Josh about it. Everyone knows something I don't. So what is it?"
Watching as Bryce became nervous, I didn't really know what to expect. I was hoping for something that would involve a quick fix so I could just move on but the look on Bryce's face told me otherwise. He was genuinely nervous to tell me and that made me nervous.
"All you need to know is that we're taking care of it, okay?" Scrunching my face in confusion, I watched Bryce get up and run towards Nick, tackling him into the water.
"Not okay." I said to myself, rolling my eyes.
"What's not okay?" Looking over at him, his eyes were focused directly on mine as he scooted closer to me, his shoulder brushing mine. We hadn't really spoken much since we got here so it was nice to have a little moment with him.
"Nothing, it's stupid." I said, trying to avoid the conversation. As much as I wanted to know what was going on with the guys, I wanted to enjoy the time I had this weekend.
"Come here." Noah said, taking my hand in his and leading me back towards the house. We walked past the crowds, trying to avoid having to stop for conversations and walked up the stairs.
Closing the door of the bedroom, his hand found my waist as he lightly pushed me up against the door, pressing his lips against mine. Immediately falling into the kiss, I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him as close to me as possible, not wanting the moment to end. Deciding to take the lead, I began walking forward, causing Noah to put his trust in me as I guided him towards the bed and lightly pushed him onto it. His hands wrapped around my waist, pulling me on top of him and I swear, I could have lived in this moment forever. The music from downstairs started to disappear as I focused more and more on Noah. Running my hands down his bare chest, not wanting to but needing to, I pushed myself up as I parted our lips, allowing myself to come to my senses. Yes, he's beautiful but no, it cannot happen.
"That is not why I brought you here." He said, letting out an awkward laugh. "I just..um.."
"Yeah." I said, agreeing to his incomplete sentence. This boy...is going to make me do wild things.
"I got you something."
"What?" Watching Noah push himself off the bed, I sat there confused. "But...the balcony-"
"It's really cute that you thought that was your gift." He laughed, pulling out a birthday bag from the closet. "If you don't like it, I'll get you something else."
"Noah..." I whispered, removing the tissue paper from the bag and pulling out a box. Opening it up, I was face to face...well face to shoe...with the most gorgeous heels I'd ever laid eyes on. Sure, the style of them was pretty basic and I'm sure tons of girls had something similar to this but the fact that Noah went out of his way to get me something like this...makes them that much more special. "I love them." I said, placing the shoe loosely back in the box as I hugged Noah, placing a small kiss on his neck.
"Ooohkay," He said, getting up from the bed and taking a step back.
"Are you okay?" I asked, fixing the shoe and placing the box on the bed.
"Yeah, I just um...I think we should go. You know, before anyone notices we're gone. We don't need anymore rumours."
"Right." I said, cluing into what Noah was really trying to avoid. I got up from the bed and headed towards him, placing my hand back on his chest, letting the tips of my fingers slowly slide down. "We really wouldn't want anyone noticing anything...weird." My fingers brushed the top of his swim trunks and I couldn't help but crack a smile from the look on his face. His eyes avoided mine, trying but failing to hide his blushing cheeks. Letting my hand fall, I headed towards the door as I said, "Well come on then, don't want them to miss us."
