Sam Wilson's Car
Washington DC, USA
April 2014The car was silent whilst the four drove through the traffic. Sam in the driver's seat, Steve in the passenger, Natasha behind Sam, and Sitwell behind Steve. They had just discovered what Zola's algorithm meant, and they were slowly running out of time to stop millions from losing their lives at the expense of HYDRA. Their time was slowly running out.
The motorway was quiet as the team made their way towards the Triskelion.
"HYDRA doesn't like leaks." Sitwell muttered under his breath. Sam shot him a warning glance through the rearview mirror.
"Then why don't you try sticking a cork in it?" He responded coldly. Natasha popped her head between the two front seats.
"Insight's launching in 16 hours. We're cutting it a little bit close here." She smirked, but the joke seemed to go right over the Captain's head.
"I know. We'll use him to bypass the DNA scans and access the helicarriers directly."
Sitwell's head snapped towards him in shock.
"What?! Are you crazy? That is a terrible, terrible idea-"
He was cut off from a thud to the roof of the car. Their attention shot up to the indent in the roof, and next thing they knew, a metal arm had smashed through the glass and grabbed Sitwell.
Natasha and Steve didn't have time to react before Sitwell was dragged from his seat and thrown out the window, directly in front of an oncoming car.
Sam's attention diverted from the commotion in the back to the road, his eyes settling on a black and red clothed figure. The Violetta Voin watched him, as she held her gun up in her hands. She pulled the trigger.
Several shots rang through the front windscreen before Sam could slam on the breaks.
The figure flipped off of the car, but caught himself before he tumbled, sliding expertly across the road, using his metal arm to draw him to a stop. The Winter Soldier stood up beside the Violetta Voin, before the two started to walk towards the car.
The cars beside them sped past as the trio sat in shock. No one said anything, but they all clocked on to the same idea soon enough. They needed to move, they needed to take down the two in front of them, and they needed to get the hell out of there.
Natasha ripped her gun from the holster on her hip and aimed for the two walking towards them, but before she could shoot, a van slammed into the back of them. The gun knocked from her hand, whilst Sam and Steve whipped around to see who had slammed into the back of them.
It wasn't a civilian car, much the opposite. The larger van proceeded to push Sam's car towards the two figures. Sam tried to hold the wheel, but it was hopeless, it was beyond his control now.
