a few days had passed and jimin and namjoon were still so excited about their trip. jimin had even downloaded a count-down calendar to his phone to update his boyfriend every day with how many more days were left until their little vacation.

they were back in class together as well after the short little break from finals. it was sad they didn't have class with hoseok anymore now that they were all friends, but they knew he would be happier being in whatever class aruem was taking.

and that just meant they could spend more time together, just the two of them.

"alright, class is dismissed!" mr.kim announced.

namjoon quickly closed his notebook filled with beautifully done notes and began putting it away in his bag. jimin, on the other hand, just slung his bag over his shoulder. he was far too busy being excited to take any notes- or even listen to his teacher for that matter.

the class filed out quickly, while jimin and namjoon just took their time, talking about useless things as they finished packing up and heading to the door.

mr.kim saw them leaving, quickly stopping them, "jimin, can i speak with you for a moment?"

jimin turned over to look at his teacher and then back to joon.

"okay," he said, telling joon he would meet him outside the classroom.

jimin walked over to his teacher's desk, sitting in the extra chair beside him.

"what's up, mr.kim?" jimin asked.

mr.kim smiled.

"how are you doing?" he asked, "you seem really happy. you're practically glowing."

jimin nodded.

"i'm so happy, mr.kim! i'm sure you've realized by now... but things are going really well with me and namjoon."

his smile widened.

"i figured as much. looks like you were right about him not liking aruem, then?"

jimin just laughed, with a nod, surprised his teacher remembered all his problems from all those months ago.

"yup. he's all mine now. we hang out every day... and it's great!" jimin said, happily reaching and grabbing a chocolate from his teacher as he offered him one, "and you know that valentine's day raffle the school put on? well... me and joon get to go! well... we didn't actually win, but-"

seokjin just laughed, cutting him off.

"i'm very happy for you, jimin," he said.

jimin smiled back at him.

"thanks."

the two fell silent before the teacher pulled out some papers from his desk and slid them across his desk to jimin.

jimin looked down and saw that it was his finals paper... well, more like namjoon's paper.

"a ninety-seven percent." mr.kim started, "that's an amazing score, jimin."

jimin's smile faltered a bit, suddenly feeling a bit guilty that he was being praised for namjoon's work.

"that's the second-best grade in this class... aside from kim namjoon, of course."

jimin looked up and met eyes with his teacher, seeing the smirk on his face and one eyebrow raised.

he knew.

"was it that obvious?" jimin asked, sighing.

mr.kim laughed.

"well... let's just say i know my most successful student's work when i see it."

jimin sighed.

"i'm sorry, mr.kim. i tried writing it, i really did. i mean... some of it's my work. it's just... the assignment was really hard for me."

mr.kim nodded.

"i understand."

jimin just bit his lip, not sure what else to say.

"you still gave me a ninety-seven percent, mr.kim. why would you give me such a good grade if you knew joon did it?"

mr.kim just shrugged.

"i know you're a hard worker, jimin. i know you always do your best. besides, it was only an idea that namjoon did it. there's no proof of anything."

jimin smiled.

"thank you."

he shook his head.

"no need to thank me, jimin. it's all hearsay," the teacher said, "but, it isn't good to make a habit of these things. you'll have to attend college for at least another three years, you know. i won't be your teacher forever."

jimin nodded, "i won't make it a habit, mr.kim. i'm sorry. it's just... honestly i'm not the best writer. i'm planning to switch my major next year."

"ah," mr.kim said, with a nod, "i think that's a good idea. do you know what you'll be switching it to?"

jimin shook his head.

"well... have you taken psychology into consideration? i think you'd make an amazing therapist," he said, watching as jimin's eyes widened in interest, "you're very outgoing and talkative. you're caring and a good listener. all of those are good qualities to have when entering a field like that."

jimin nodded.

"that's a great idea. i never really thought of that," jimin said, clearly thinking about it.

"you would do great," he said, "and i'm sure with your grades, you'd be able to get into any school you want. and namjoon could help you write your college essays-"

jimin quickly shook his head.

"i'm... i'm not transferring schools or anything. i don't want to be apart from namjoon," jimin said, "do they have psychology options here?"

mr.kim nodded.

"they do. nothing spectacular, but i'm sure it would be alright. you'd be the star student, i know that much"

jimin smiled.

"thanks, mr.kim. i'll definitely take what you said into consideration."

the man just smiled back.

"of course, jimin. you run along. let me know if you need anymore help, alright?"

jimin nodded, getting up from his seat

"i will! thanks again, mr kim!"
