2 months later

"namjoon, i'm heading out now! will you and jimin be okay closing up shop?"

namjoon replied that they would be fine and the lady who owned the cute store with the homemade items headed off. jimin and namjoon had learned that her name was "mal-soon" when they first started working there, but they now called her "soonie" per her suggestion.

"bye, soonie!" jimin shouted, as she headed out the door, the bell at the top ringing as she left.

jimin and namjoon had been having a pretty eventful summer so far— to say the least. the two had secured jobs at the cute little shop that namjoon had purchased jimin's sweater from all those months ago that they later learned was simply called, "hand of happiness."

they both loved everything about the work they did, so much so that it didn't even feel right calling it "work" at all. they spent their days stocking fuzzy sweaters, organizing knit stuffed animals, and drinking complimentary hot chocolate from the little dispenser that soonie always encouraged them to drink more of.

it was amazing.

and the fact that the two of them got to do it together made it even better. not to mention they were also being paid, which gave them money to go out and do other fun things as well, which was making their summer worth wild.

the boys had already crossed so many things off their "minjoon summer fun list!" (that jimin had cleverly titled). the boys had gone horseback riding, which was surely an entertaining experience for jimin considering namjoon's newfound fear of horses. they had also taken a little road trip to an amusement park and spent their days riding roller coasters together that namjoon definitely was not afraid to ride. they had also done about a million more things that they had added to their lists after the things they had initially thought of.

jimin and namjoon had done so much in only two months and they were just so happy. everything was going well for them, their relationship was better than ever which they didn't even think was possible, and they had even devised a plan for their following school year to continue swimmingly.

namjoon had decided that jimin would be going with him to snu next year even if he had to drag him along. jimin was intelligent, beautiful, unique, and amazing in every way. namjoon was certain his boyfriend could do it. jimin wasn't quite so confident, especially considering his average-looking grades, but namjoon stayed persistent that he could do it. he had worked for weeks to help jimin craft the most magnificent paper for the school that was completely vulnerable and remarkable. there was not a doubt in namjoon's mind that he and jimin would be going to that school together, which in turn made jimin have hope as well.

there were two more schools that jimin had also applied to around the area— that were still difficult to get accepted to, but joon and jimin remained
hopeful that snu would work out— and if for whatever reason it didn't, at least he had two schools to fall back on.

"joonie!" jimin shouted, running over to him from across the store with some fuzzy socks in his hands.

"yes?" namjoon asked, with a smirk, turning around to meet eyes with his cute boyfriend who was sporting doe eyes, a big smile, and pink-tinted cheeks.

he was catching his breath a little from running over to him, but he looked beaming with happiness nonetheless.

"i guess it's just you and me," he said, still smiling, "we can lock up.., finish putting all this stock away.., go back to my place."

jimin bit his bottom lip and latched onto namjoon's white button-up that complimented his body wonderfully.

he looked all professional and studious and maybe- just maybe it had been starting to have an effect on jimin.
