"jimin, are you sure we aren't lost? i don't remember coming this way."

"we aren't lost, joon. trust me."

the two had been hiking through the area around their cabin, having lots of fun seeing all the beautiful nature in the process. but the two had definitely gotten tired, namjoon feeling beyond ready to head back.

jimin, on the other hand, had a small little trick up his sleeve.

"jimin, where are-"

namjoon stopped right behind jimin at the edge of the path, noticing that they were now on the edge of a small cliff.

namjoon walked up to stand next to jimin, looking down and seeing a big body of water below them.

"woah," namjoon said, not expecting it, "what are we doing here?"

jimin smiled at him, before starting to pull off his shirt.

"jimin, what are you doing?"

after getting his own shirt off, jimin walked closer to joon, grabbing onto the hem of his shirt and telling him to put his arms up.

namjoon obliged, letting jimin pull his shirt over his head, joon quickly bringing his arms down and crossing them over his torso.

it took jimin reaching down and taking his shoes off for namjoon to understand what was going on.

"come on," jimin said, with a smile, "take your shoes off."

namjoon shook his head.

"jimin, there is no way in hell i'm jumping off this cliff," he said, looking down, "it's not gonna happen."

jimin just sighed, already assuming that namjoon would put up some sort of fight.

"come on," he said, "it'll be fun. the river leads right back to our cabin, too. we can swim there."

namjoon shook his head.

"jimin, i can't. you don't even know if that's safe. the waters probably too shallow."

jimin shook his head.

"no, it's not. i promise. i looked it up earlier. this is the deepest point of the river. it could probably fit six of you lengthwise from the bottom."

namjoon looked over the edge again and then back to jimin.

"jimin, i-i can't..."

jimin just gave a small smile to his boyfriend, knowing he was just nervous.

"fine, suit yourself" he said, walking a bit closer to the edge, "but i'm swimming home."

and before namjoon even had a second to protest, jimin had jumped over the edge.

namjoon yelled out his name, knowing it was far too late for him to do anything.

he watched as jimin landed into the water with a big splash, starting to panic when he didn't come up right away.

a million scenarios started running through namjoon's mind.

he hit his head.

he's unconscious under the water.

his shorts are stuck on a rock and he can't get free.

or even worse, he's already dea-

joon was broken away from his thoughts when he saw his adorable boyfriend's head pop up out of the river, the water coming up to his shoulders, having to paddle his legs to stay afloat.
