Chapter 13

You sat down and continued to eat before you brought everyone's plates to the kitchen. You handed them to the people washing up and thanked them for dinner. You left the dining area and headed off to the gym. You went in to the gym and already saw the orange haired guy training with the blue haired guy. You watched them a bit before they recognised you.

"Oh. Y/N. Hello. What brings you here?" Shoyo asks you.

"I came to watch. I also wanna learn how to play volleyball." You say.

"Oh? Maybe we can help!" Shoyo beams.

"Ever played before?" Kageyama asks you.

"No. But I've watched some live games and I've watched everyone play the last few days." Toy say.

"Ok. Let's start with serving then." Kageyama says.

He picked up a stray volleyball and headed over to the start line. He showed you a standing serve and you watched. Carefully analysing his every movement. He served the hall and it landed on the other side. You went and picked up the hall and stood on the line and attempted the same thing.

You threw the bell up and hit it down, making it land on the other side. But loudly since you hit it with such force. Kageyama then showed you a running serve and you again watched closely. Analysing him again. You took the ball and did the exact same thing he did. With the same power you used the first time.

Both Kageyama and Shoyo were slightly shocked at this. You said you'd never played before, yet you were able to serve the ball with ease.

"Huh. You're really good you know!" Shoyo says.

"Thank you." You say.

"And you've never played before?" Kageyama says.

"Nope! But I've always been told I learn quickly. I learnt to ride a skateboard in a week. Including a couple tricks." You explain.

"Ok. Let's try having you spike." Kageyama says.

What you hadn't realised is that Kenma was standing at the door. Watching you play volleyball with Shoyo and Kageyama. He was slightly jealous that you weren't playing with him. But shocked that you were able to grasp the basics so quickly.

Kageyama set the hall for Hinata and he spiked it down on the other side. Rather quick. You were still able to analyse the move itself and headed over to the net. Kageyama again set the ball. You jumped up at the right height and spiked the ball down on the opposite side with the same speed as Hinata.

"Ehh?! You really do learn quick! It took me a while to get that down." Hinata says.

"Try setting." Kageyama says.

"Ok." You say.

Kageyama passed you the hall and you set it to Hinata. He jumped up and spiked it down on the opposite side. He smiled and jumped for joy after noticing you had set the ball the exact same way Kageyama would. Kenma was also shocked as he watched you play volleyball so effortlessly.

"Ooh. Try saving the ball next! So I'll spike it and you have to save it!" Hinata said, jumping up and down like a kid.

"I can try." You say.

You went on the other side of the court and got into the position you saw a brunette with a blonde streak use earlier. You watched as the ball flew over the net. You get ready and managed to effortlessly save the ball.

"Are you 100% sure you've never played before?" Kageyama asks again.

"I'm sure. I was gonna ask Kenma to teach me how to serve and I was gonna ask Kuroo to teach me how to block and spike." You explain.

"Makes sense." Kageyama says.

You walked up to the net and this time decided to block the ball. You watched Kageyama and the direction he threw the ball then watched Hinata as he jumped and spiked it. You jumped at the right moment and managed to block Hinata's spike. With ease.

"Ehhh?! I thought it was gonna go over." Hinata pouted.

"Whoops. Sorry." You say to Hinata.

You turned towards the door and saw Kenma stood there. You blushed slightly at the fact that Kenma was stood at the door watching you play volleyball. You ran up to him and explained what was happening.

"Hey Kenma." You say.

"Hey." Kenma says.

"So what brings you here?" You ask.

"I noticed you disappeared after dinner so I went looking for you. So why are you here?" Kenma asks.

"I was actually trying to find the gym that Kuroo was in. I walked in here and find these two. They've been teaching me volleyball. But I wanna play with you." You pout.

"Then... maybe we can play at some point." Kenma says.

"I'd like that." You say.

"Wanna go on a walk?" You ask Kenma.

"Sure." He says.
