Moving My Life Away

"Maybe I shouldn't go to Boston. Like what if I go into early labour? How will I take care of the baby in Boston when Noah's at school and I'm doing school." I say sitting on the ground of my room.
"Elle hunny, you can do this." June reassures me.
"You've talked to your Harvard professors and doing your online work will be just fine. There are many students doing it, that's why they have the program. And Noah did this all last year, so he'll help you with it too." Lisa says.

It's Sunday afternoon and June, Rachel and Lisa are in our room helping me pack stuff for Boston. Or pack everything for Boston.

"And I'll be so close to you. Not even twenty minutes from you. Elle don't worry, I'll always be there to help." Lisa reminds me.
"Thank you." I close my eyes.
"And Elle, you can do this program from anywhere, so you can come back to LA for a bit if you need to." Rachel smiles.

I just nod and continue folding some clothes into a suitcase. I'm not bringing a lot because I'm growing out of a lot of them with my bump, so I'll just buy new ones.

...

"Oh my gosh June I'll miss you so much." I hug her.
"Oh Elle honey it's going to be okay. You'll be with Noah, and Lisa, and I'm one call away." She replies.
"I know. It's just. I don't know." I squeeze her.
"It's okay. Remember that." She whispers to me.

After saying goodbye one hundred times to June, Lee and Rachel, we finally board the plane.

"It's okay, I'm here, and so is Lisa, and Rachel and Lee are a three hours away." Noah reminds me.
"I love you Noah Flynn." I kiss him.
"I love you Elle Evans, soon to be Elle Flynn." He winks as he squeezes my thighs.

I lie my head back against the seat and close my eyes. When I open my eyes it's Noah telling me we're already in Boston, that was a nice flight.

"So all your friends know I'm pregnant, right?" I ask Noah as we are walking to his car.
"Yes. You've tagged me in all the posts so they've seen all of them. Except for my not friends who think they're my friends, like Annie and her boyfriend. But I doubt they'll care." Noah says putting one arm around me.
"Annie will." I say under my breath.
"But we won't care what she thinks." Noah kisses the top of my head.
"We won't." I agree.
"But Ethan doesn't know either, but he won't ever know since I'm pretty sure he's going to a college in like Alaska or something." I shrug.

When we get to Noah's appartement, which is now mine and his.

"Welcome home baby." Noah wraps his arms around me.
"Home." I repeat.
"Home." Noah hugs me tight.

"Now we're going out for supper with my friends, well if you don't want to come it's okay." Noah says sitting down.
"No, I want to come. They're going to be my friends now too, since my friends aren't here, except for Lisa, but she's not here until next week." I fix my hair from my face.
"Okay, so we're going around four, if you want to get ready." Noah says looking down at his Apple Watch.
"Kk. Should I wear something casual or something fancy?" I ask as I rummage through my luggage.
"Whatever you want." Noah shrugs.

After rummaging through my luggage for a while I can't find anything to wear and just give up.

"I don't know." I give up.
"Nothing will look good on me for dinner. My jeans look bad on me, my shirts aren't fancy enough." I stress.

Noah comes over to me and sits down beside me. He looks through my luggage and pulls out a light pink dress.

"What about this?" Noah suggests.
"But is it fancy enough?" I sigh.
"What if you wear this, with your black cropped jean jacket and black high top Converse, it'll be perfect." Noah says.
"You have good fashion sense for a guy who wears jeans or jogging pants with either a hoodie or t-shirt." I joke.
"I'm good with my fashion." Noah winks as he helps me up.
