I jump out of bed to puke. Usually Noah would jump out after me but today he's not here. He went out for breakfast with some friends this morning so I was left all alone. Puking. I grab my phone off my nightstand and Google why I've been puking so much.

Almost everything says it's a sign of pregnancy, which is when I find myself in a drugstore buying a pregnancy test, or three.

When I get home with the pregnancy tests, three chocolate bars and a bottle of water (which I've already drank) I go upstairs. Noah's home because his car's in the driveway so I make sure you can't see the pregnancy tests.

"Hello." Noah says once I'm in the room.
"Hi, gotta go to the bathroom." I say walking towards it.
"With a bag?" Noah questions.
"Uh yeah, I guess." I say sounding suspicious.
"Okayyy." Noah says definitely knowing I'm up to something.

Two lines pregnant, one line not pregnant. Let's really hope it's one line.

I pee on the stick then set a timer for three minutes.

One minute

Two minutes

Three minutes

My timer goes off and I grab the test face down. I flip it over.

Two lines.

I fall against the tub and drop the pregnancy test on the floor in front of me. I start balling my eyes out.

"Elle you okay?" Noah says in concern from outside the door.
"Y-yea-yeah." I say in tears.
"No you aren't. Elle I'm coming in." Noah says before coming in.
"Elle what's wrong?" Noah says before noticing the pregnancy test.

I just point down to the test while in tears.

"O-oh my God." Noah says looking at it.
"Is this real?" Noah questions.
"Yes Noah! It is. I'm fucking pregnant. Here." I hand him my ring.
"Elle what?" Noah says not taking the ring.
"You're going to leave me, right?" I say looking up at him.

Noah doesn't say anything but sit down beside me and wrap his arms around me.

"I'm never going to leave you. We'll raise this baby together Elle. It's my fault, not yours."
"Are you sure." I say looking up at him.
"One hundred percent sure Elle."

...

"Elle? Hunny come here won't you." June asks me from the kitchen.
"Coming." I say getting up from Noah's arms.
"I thought we would go for a little shopping day today, some retail therapy for the girls?"
"Oh yes, I'd love that." I answer.
"Okay, in about an hour okay?" June says when looking at the clock.
"We can have some lunch before shopping." She adds on.
"That's perfect. I'll be ready in a bit."

I go over to the couch to tell Noah I'm going to get dressed and that I'm going out.

I change into dark blue ripped jeans and a mustard yellow t-shirt. I just brush my hair and curl my eye lashes and put black mascara on. I go downstairs to watch some tv with Noah before June comes down ready.

We drive to a pizza place close to the mall where we are going to.

"Elle, I can't help but question something." June says after we order.
"That is?" I say nervous.
"The fact that there were two positive pregnancy tests on your and Noah's bathroom counter?" June acknowledges.
"When did you see them?" I gulp.
"When I went to clean your bathroom. Elle just tell me, are they real?" June asks.
"Yes." I cry.
"Please don't be mad." I add on still in tears.
"Elle hunny, I'm not mad, does Noah know?" June concerns.
"Y-yes. But June what about college?"
"Elle hunny it's the end of June. how long have you known?" June asks trying to put things together.
"Two days ago. But I've been having symptoms since my birthday." I answer.
"Well then you're about three months ahead, but we should probably go to the doctors to find out the exact due date, but you'll be able to go to Harvard for a couple months then you can do the online courses there."

I just nod my head as I wipe my tears from my face.

"I have a friend that works are the hospital, she can probably get you in today if you want." June says looking through her phone.

I nod as I take my phone out of my purse. June goes to call her friend outside and I text Noah.

'Your mom knows.. she's making me an appointment for today'
'How'd she find out?'
'I left the pregnancy tests on the bathroom counter, and she cleaned the bathroom'
'Classic Elle, well I love you, see you once you're back'
'Love you 😘'

"We have an appointment at one, so we better get going after getting food." June says when she gets back.
"Okay, thank you June."
"Elle, hun I'm just trying to be a mother figure for you, and sooner then later I'll be your mother in law." June says grabbing my hands.

I squeeze her hands and smile. I'm happy someone other then Noah knows. I needed to tell someone, or for at least someone to find out.

After lunch we leave quickly and June drives us over to the hospital. We go up to the level and meet her friend, and my now doctor.

"June! I haven't seen you in forever." June's friend says when she sees us.
"Jennifer!" June says as she hugs her.
"So this must be Elle?" Jennifer says looking over to me.
"That's me." I smile as I shake her hand.
"Noah's girlfriend." June announces.
"Oh how is Noah? Heard he went to Harvard?" Jennifer claims.
"Yes he did, he's back for now, until August, and Elle will be going to Harvard too!" June announces.
"Wow! Congrats Elle, now maybe we'll talk after but we really need to get to see this girl's baby!" Jennifer says leading us to a room.

We get into the room and I pull my shirt up to revel my stomach. It's not much bigger, I just thought I was eating more until I found out I was pregnant. Jennifer puts a blue gel on my stomach and I yelp because of how cold it is.

"Oh sorry dear, always forget to warn the girls how cold it is." Jennifer laughs.

I look up at the screen and see a little baby shape.

"Oh my gosh." I tear up.
"And that's your baby." Jennifer smiles.
"Congratulations, you're due February twenty-eighth!" Jennifer announces.
"And you're about two months along. Which is eight weeks." She states.
"So close!" June says chuckling.
"I can't believe that there's a baby in me." I say looking at June as I shed a tear.
"So here is the ultrasound picture, and you're next appointment will be in two months, when you're sixteen months and you'll find out the gender." She smiles.
"Okay, thank you so much." I mention.
"No problem, it's my job." She winks.

She wipes the cold gel off my stomach and I put get up.

When we get home Noah's car isn't in the driveway so I stay downstairs with June and talk to her about everything until Lee comes home and we stop, since he doesn't know.

Once Lee's back upstairs June mentions. "You really need to tell him Elle, I can't let this be like last summer."
"I know. I just don't know how. I'm still eight weeks too, so I have a higher chance of a miscarriage." I say sadly once I get to the end.
"Elle, you should wait maybe a month, until you're twelve weeks maybe, just to be sure you won't have one." June says grabbing my hand.
"And I know you're worrying about it, after what happened last year, but don't, it was a last year thing, think about how much fun you'll have with the baby." June squeezes it.
"I guess. It's a rainbow baby." I replie.
"It is." June replies.
