After The Kissing Booth

Eighteen

"Happy birthday beautiful." Noah whispers into my ear when I wake up.
"I'm eighteen, finally." I say opening my eyes.
"Yo-"

I cut Noah off when I just out of bed and rush to the bathroom to puke my guts out.

"Shelly you okay?" Noah says holding my hair up.
"I can't be sick on my birthday." I say leaning against the tub.
"Maybe you just had to puke this one time, come back to bed, it's still early." Noah says helping me up.

Noah picks me up and lies me in bed.

"I'll wake you up in a couple hours." Noah says kissing me on the head.
"You had a long night and will have a long night tonight." Noah winks.

I let out a small chuckle before Noah leaves the room and goes downstairs. I do end up falling asleep but wake up to Noah opening the door.

"Sorry, just came to get clothes." Noah says noticing I'm awake.
"This reminds me of the day after the party-"
"You mean the time when I tricked you into taking my shirt off." Noah says sitting down on the bed.
"And when you saw me in just my-bra." I giggle.
"Mhm." Noah smirks.

Noah gets up and gets ready after after he's done in the bathroom I go to get ready for me and Lee's party today. It's at three and pretty much the whole school is invited. I just wanted to invite a couple people but then I found out Lee invited everyone. So I dealt with it.

"The blue, or silver." I say holding up to dresses to Noah.
"Which ever one shows less cleavage."
"Noahhhh." I say looking at him frowning.
"Joking! I like the blue one." Noah says pointing to it.
"Okay, then the blue one it is." I say going back into the bathroom.
"You know you can change in front of me, right?" Noah says as I close the door.
"It's not like I haven't seen you naked, or that you're my fiancé."

Just Noah, or anyone, saying fiancé makes me want to cry. I'm a fiancé to someone, never thought I would be.

"I just like getting ready in the bathroom." I yell so Noah can hear me.
"But what if I was in the bathroom with you." Noah yells back.
"Then that would be fine." I say sticking my head out of the bathroom.

After I'm ready, but I didn't put the dress on yet, I'll put it on before the party, i go downstairs to find Noah and Lee.

"Happy birthday!" I tell Lee.
"Happy birthday!" Lee says back to me.

I hug Lee and June comes out downstairs. "Happy birthday you two, I have lots of presents for you guys, I want to give them to you before all your other presents come."
"Okay!" Me and Lee say as we get up.

Noah grabs my hand and we go into the living room, where the gifts are.

I let Lee open all the gifts he got first. And then it comes to me.

"Okay, Elle this one is for you. And it's special. Even though it's just an envelope." June hands it to me.
"It's from me, Mr Flynn, your dad and Noah." She adds on.

I grab the envelope from June's hands and I open it. 'Don't worry about paying for college, we got it.' I read. I gasp and look at them.

"You-you're paying for college for me?"
"Yes, your dad gave a lot in for you, since he's been saving, and me, Mr. Flynn and Noah just chipped in a bit." June smiles.
"Oh my gosh thank you, you really didn't need to do this." I say hugging her.
"And you did too?" I ask Noah.
"I've been doing a little bit of working in Boston. I needed you here with me, and when I heard you got into Harvard, I knew I had made the right choice." Noah smiles.

I hug him and he kisses the top of my head.

I open a couple more gifts. Noah got me a charm bracelet and one of the charms is a heart with our initials and forever at the bottom, Lee got me custom Nike Air Forces with blue butterflies on them because I've been eyeing them forever and he also got a Starbucks gift card because I've gained an obsession for it. But the main gift was the college money, which was a huge surprise, a good one.
